Update 270 — balancing of turrets and hulls

I think the Developers  of TO are really bad. There is a big problem with the ricochet! Completely unplayable for all ranks.

No, They think and talk about this. Engineers of tanki are great they give us sales ,double funds and  contests!

You are M0 one shot, M1 two shots, M2 three shots to die etc... Ridiculous! M3 = zero shot maybe?

You got it all wrong if its railgun its all wrong + you cant have zero shots.

You know what's unfair: when you fall on your back (or being pushed over) and not being killed on purpose. This means you have to press Delete button to selfdestruct, getting the penalty. People should get penalties if they jump off the edge or kill themselves with a Ricochet or Thunder but not by pressing Delete!

 

Btw, I got a new rank on my main account; Field Marshal :)

Rico is not nerfed, you just need skill to play with it. ( Which most of the "dominators"aka druggers dont have).

Could you please tell me what skill is required with Rico to hit at some distance a fast moving opponent since every shot flies exactly above the enemy tank even if it is shot in front of him with perfect timing. As i mentioned it earlier in the forum i don't mind the reduced damage and other features but the lowered projectile speed combined with shot "auto leveling" renders it completely unusable at some distances, unless firing at static enemies!

I almost forgot to mention also all the bugs im experiencing with it having multiple shots flying through enemy tanks (some of them driving straight towards me or not moving at all) forcing me to fire all the clip to destroy a hornet without Rico paint (we were both Mk2).

I will also mention the unfairness in situations when there is a tank wreck between me and my enemies and they still manage to hit me through it with Thunder and Smoky, not to mention the Rails that can hit me firing through their own "still functional" teammates, while i am unable to at least bounce off my shots from the wreckage.

For now i don't have any recorded evidence because im lagging slightly when using bandycam but i will post some videos when i get myself a new cpu unless of course the problem will be solved until then.

Hey look you have those problems, but i don't. When i play with Rico it shows great results. I bet it's just from your lags.

I already wrote it before, how could any lag be involved if i fired at an opponent that remained fixed in one spot, i hit it once then missed it twice then hit it twice and then missed it once again, the projectiles were simply going straight through his turret! there was no lag, i know how it looks like but nothing like this happens when i'm using other ranged guns. I would like to see how you manage to hit fast moving hornets and wasps at ranges of 50+ meters especially if they don't stand on the same plane as you!

That is a trick. You should not attack enemy tank while he using first aid. You better wait and reload your gun. Ballon-type weapon is MUST use this for better performance.

Okay! I had some proper playing time, so let me share my thoughts on the latest rebalance.

 

Out of all changes, some good some bad, I hate how the new health pack works the most. Tanki killed the effectiveness of what you call ballon-type weapons except maybe Isida.

 

Take my once beloved Firebird for example. Whenever I go for the flag and release my fury on defense, a health pack is used by the enemy leaving me with little options. I could use a health pack as well, but without a charge left all I can do is hide. And if I do have some charge left I have to take a coffee break to be able to do some damage again, due to the extra healing time. So, could anyone explain the reasoning behind this health pack 2.0??!!

 

To be honest (still need to get it of my chest), Firebird was killed the updates before this one. I invested loads of crystals to increase my afterburn, only to be traded in for a lousy 62.5 second weak afterburn. Why do I need such a long time? It ain't going to happen!! You've got your freeze, health pack and on top of that Isida, all capable of undoing the effect. You are lucky, if nowadays the effect lasts longer than 10 seconds. May I conclude, those were good crystals down the drain...

 

As for other changes and changes in turrents and hulls, I dislike the fact that Isida can undo the Freeze/ Fire effect. Rico should have kept the same projectle speed and to comprimise have an extra decrease in damage. Last but not least, Smoky might be a little OP, but I can't tell for sure (yet) because of the increase of Smoky protection pains lately. The rest seems spot on!!!!

I find that when firing upon a fast moving target my shots land better if I move my turret rather than my tank.

I always rotate my turret to aim enemy tanks, i usually use both hull and turret rotation to fight freeze users that already started to slow me down.

The problem with Rico is i can't use it anymore as middle ranged gun against skilled players, Its enough for them to move constantly at some distance and my shots fly above them as no one is present there unless of course i aim exactly at their tank when firing but until the shot reaches them, having lowered speed, they have already dodged it. So this is what bothers me, Ricos lost ability to anticipate enemies movements due to lowered projectile speed combined with vertical auto-aiming!

But I don't know how to turn my turret!!!  :(

i wonder how you get on that rank -_-

because it is hard to play at your level if you cannot turn your turret.

dont worry just try to practice it. see how others do it that will encourage you. :)
