Not everyone has the knowledge, ability or permission to register for and install Skype.

ability and knowledge.. im pretty sure everyone knows what skype is..  and how to get it.. and there are loads of formats its available almost on every PC and on phones..

I mean do you think the M1 can win ?

In most circumstances no m1 can't win in my opinion. However if it is an XP battle and the m1 user is an very skilled player, there is always room for an upset  :D

By permission I mean their parents might not want them to have an account for security and personal reasons. I've heard that from players many a time.

Not everyone here is old enough to know how to install software on their computer (even though strictly speaking the forum is for 14+)

It's highly unlikely that anyone here has a minor operating system like some unsupported version of Linux, but that isn't the only criteria. Some computers just have hardware issues that conflict with Skype.

This is true, but you're missing the point / benefit: 

Random people.

 

I don't know most people in this forum, but them having the ability to post here about whatever, and for people to respond is not offered in a private chat utility such as skype. It is random, and people don't need to know who you are, how old you are or where you live. It's cool that way.
