Hi dudes, in a moment of boredom i discovered that if you have in your garage both jade and needle you wasted a lot of crystals.

Why? lets see. WARNING, A LOT OF HEADACHE AND MATH HERE! IN CASE OF ALLERGY TO MATH STOP READING THIS OR TALK TO YOUR MEDIC BEFORE STARTING TO READ.

 

 

Jade Cost: 159.000 Crystals and unlocked at Lieutenant General Rank.

Thunder: 12%

Hammer; 12%

Smoky: 25%

Shaft: 45%

 

 

Needle Cost: 210.000 Crystals and unlocked at Fieldmarshall Rank.

Ricochet: 20%

Smoky: 48%

Shaft: 25%

 

 

The two paints in the title have both defense from SMOKY and SHAFT. an epic multipurpose gun the first, a 99% lethal sniper the second.

They have in addiction a forgetable Thunder and Hammer protection(jade) and a nearly useful ricochet protection (needle)

 

Now someone would say...

But one protect from a lot of shaft and a bit of smoky, while the other protect from a lot of smoky and a bit of shaft!

 

and here the donkey falls! Lets see why.

 

Here is Situation of Dude 1:

Say He bought both paints for the total of 369.000 crystals. more than two months worth of hard saving up or nearly 50€ worth of crystals(whit a double crystals card!)

now He need to interchange them after looking if in the enemy team there are more smoky or shafts. and this is annoyng, almost in my lazy, Really lazy opinion, and not fully functional, because you would still get only 25% from the least protected gun, and not 45% from both.

 

Now lets put here situation of Dude 2:

He bought jade at the lieutenant general rank, cause shafts were annoyng him like mosquitoes, really big and deadly mosquitoes, and i he getting killed here and here by a random critical hit.

lurking the wikia he discovered that micro updgrades were really, really pricey, especially the last ones.

 

here ( http://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades_of_%22Jade%22 ) we see that updgrading Jade to full smoky protection prices a total of 290.853 Crystals! 80.853 more than the dude who bought both paints. but remember the fact of the last updgrades? the last two cost a lot! and needle protects only from 48%, not 50%. if we stop updgrading jade to 48% smoky protection we save 29.035 + 27.510= 56.545 Crystals! we spended only 80.853 - 56.545 = 24.308 Crystals more Than the Dude 1 ( a few days of work, a dime compared to the ones we spent in total. and if we want to spend less we just need to updgrade smoky protection only to 47% saving like 25.985 crystals and spending effectively 1677 crystals less than Dude 1. doing this math,

Now Dude2 dont need to change paint according to enemy weapons and have protection from both guns simultaneously. cheaper and wasting only 1% point on smoky protection, all probably a couple of ranks before needle is even unlocked for him.

 

Now lets See the situiation form Dude3

Dude 3 is a close friend of Dude2, he thinks that he can improve his friend already well-studied strategy. He reached the lieutenant general rank but he suppressed the urge of getting jade. he is having a clear plan in his mind. Reaching Commander rank he got Needle spending 210.000 crystals, a lot more than dude 2, 51.000 Crystals more! he then looks at micro updgrades of needle shaft protection.

he see ( here http://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades_of_%22Needle%22 ) that to updgrade it to 50% he should spend something like 335.106 crystals. so he choose to go on pair whit jade and go for an updgrade to 45%, spending 150384 crystal less loosing only 5% of shaft protection. he spended a total of 184.722 crystals to get shaft protection to 45%. just a little more than the single price of jade. if he does the trick of Dude 2 he updgrades shaft protection only to 44%( like the smoky 47% of dude2) and save an addictional 24750 crystals ( the micro updgrades would cost now only 159972 crystals)  we spended in tot 972 crystals more that Dude 1, and probably we got our paint in a later rank than him

( BUT do not forget that by spending only 89.000 crystals more you can get it thogheter whit hornet and rail m3 at GENERAL rank. earlien than the rank you could buy it and even earlier than jade. overall, the light m3 kit is a must buy if you have the money).

 

 

So where is the Dude3 Deal?

 

After the Hammer update, the tables have turned.

Thunder and Hammer, Or Ricochet?  While dude2 got two nearly useless 12% Thunder and Hammer protections, Dude3 got a 20% Ricochet protection.

 

While jade protections can updgraded  to an average 23%, needle can be updgraded up to 40% protection.

There is no real winner, only preferences. the enemies you will find annoyng the most will dictate the paint you will get.

 

So... oveall

 

Dude 1 wasted crystals And now he need to swap paints and he will never get simultaneous 45% & 48% protection. FAIL-FAIL.

 

Dude 2 and Dude 3 Have their Simultaneous Protection and do not need to swap paints. Win-Win for Both dude2 and dude3 who got also an useful ricochet protection.

 

 

Discuss dudes, discuss! Have you got any of those paints here? what paints are you going to buy?

 

Talking about today gun use... well, i would exchange my needle for jade. is ages i dont see a high number of ricochets, while thunder and hammers are always around.

I have "little Jade" - Winter paint and Needle, both mu-ed, if you care more about thunder, winter is better than jade for mu price.
 
also note: mu from 25% to 50% is very expensive, most likely you only mu to 41%, as the last 9% cost can get your 2 paint in 50% discount time.
 
 

 

 

it took me 1 year to fully mu needle.

also, Winter has better color for hiding in winter theme map, Jade is too bright to hide in any where,

 

Needle has better color for hiding in grass area.

Winter can be seen like a cheaper, better camouflaging and cheaper version of jade. Needle still nails it in protection percentages, but is awesome cause whit both you can easly hide in winter and summer themed map. Wise choiche!

Thunder and ricochet.  While dude 2 got a nearly useless 12% Thunder protection, he got a 20% Ricochet protection. and we know those 8% points could have been more, more pricey than the 2649 crystals we spended more than Dude2. and while jade coul be updgraded only to 24%, needle can be updgraded up to 40% protection.

 

So... oveall

Dude 1 wasted crystals And now he need to swap paints and he will never get simultaneous 45% & 48% protection. FAIL-FAIL.

Dude 2 and Dude 3 Have their Simultaneous Protection and do not need to swap paints. Win-Win for dude 2 And Triple win for dude 3 who got also an useful ricochet protection.

 

Quadruple win if you did everything dude 3 did + You bought the paint from the m3 light kit.

Light kit m3 a must buy im not quite sure abt it !!

 

I just reached the rank wich allowed me to buy m3 ligh kit for 300.000 k crystals wich are soo much indeed, anyway at the moment i got m3 light kit i had bigger expectations, but when i try-ed the combo on the field rail m3 hornet m3 and needle it turns out im an easy opponent for thunder froze fire rail ( needle doesnt have any protection against those ) and i can't get more kill's then i used to with my m2 firebird. 

 

Even at Stadium or Desert i have difficulties and dont mention silence nor close range maps.

At conclusions i think that the ligh kit m3 is overrated it aint that much off a big deal even tho it haves 2 paints needle and spark so when u try it yourself tom u will see the results of it.

I just reached the rank wich allowed me to buy m3 ligh kit for 300.000 k crystals wich are soo much indeed, anyway at the moment i got m3 light kit i had bigger expectations, but when i try-ed the combo on the field rail m3 hornet m3 and needle it turns out im an easy opponent for thunder froze fire rail ( needle doesnt have any protection against those ) and i can't get more kill's then i used to with my m2 firebird. 

 

Even at Stadium or Desert i have difficulties and dont mention silence nor close range maps.

first time i bought heavy m2 or medium m2 i was sucking in battles. every kit you buy need a little pratice before you can use it to 100%. like in that stadium map, where you were charging whitr ailgun and hornet like you had a firebird  :P . now that you have your kit i think that would be good to try some xp battles whit higher ranked to learno some new thechniques. is the thing i will do myself after ill get it.

there is no point of getting that kit because almost every other kit has good paint like prodigis infernos emralds but it doesnt. also due to the increase of prodigis cuz of kits its so hard for rail m3 to kill vikings having prodigi and drugs

thats why i prefer getting rail hornet and good paint on 50% sales than saving forr that 300k kit

jade is as good as needle now, at least from statistic view. [23% thunder + 23% hammer] vs [40% rico],

 

depends on which is more threaten to you.
