unwritten rule / who do you not fire on (DMs)

Can someone tell me what is the unwritten rule about who to fire on during battles.  In death matches do you just try to kill everyone or is there some polite way to behave.  Ie:-  do you avoid fighters of similar rank or similar  tanks?

I.m confused as to why in some battles some tankers move there turrets indicating NO when I fire on them and move away suggesting we leave each other alone.  Is there some code I don,t understand.

if somebody has the same tank as you, he may want to team with you, in rare ocassions they dont cuz theyre noobs, but pros do team with you if your the same tank as them.

You may also happen to see "Crystals Collectors", those players running on the battle field collecting crystals and not fighting, thus asking you to avoid killing them.

it is common for railgun users not kills each other, and stay on one side of map, and take turn killing other tanks and protect each other

make win win situation.

also common among thunder users not kill each other, freeze dont freeze each other,

the reason is simple, it 2 freezer freezing each other, and 1 shot from thunder, they both died and both got no score, so it is pointless to freeze each other for freeze users in DM.

Wasp hornets ;)

and try to get the last hit... So a newly respawned tank- let others weaken him first!

When two tanks are killing each other shoot the stronger tank first!

Team with the tanks the same as you ;)

It isn't a good idea to shoot someone with better gear then you/same. If it's better you would obviously loss and same it will take a while to kill or too strong. So why not combine your forces?

I was once in a Polygon DM with a limit of 999. The person in first was a M2 Mammoth/Rico/Corrosion. He was definitely powerful. When I was close to him I looked at him but I would shoot him. So we were a team. We didn't kill each other and we helped when one was in danger. The funny thing was that he was Russian and didn't know English. It was for my benefit because he could kill me just like that.

If I had Rico I would hit clay.

If I had fire I would not hit zues.

But I would hit inferno with freeze.

I would hit rustle with my thunder but not emerald.

Don't know why ok!

One rule I noticed in DM at Polygon map is that when the GB is announced, everyone stops and positions around the depression in the middle of the map waiting to unleash hell as soon as the GB drops.... and no one shoots to no one until that moment... ;)

Just to focus on your question with the 'unwritten rule', players sometimes don't kill each other when...

- They have the same weapon. Often, when I join a DM with Twins, the other Twins players and myself tend to leave each other alone. No point takin on someone who has the same advantage as you do (in this case, unlimited reload).

- They're drugging. Personally, when I'm drugging I avoid taking on other druggers (unless they've destroyed me earlier in the match because we're competing for first place, then the pact is broken). After all, two druggers against each other is a waste of drugs - again, it cancels out the advantage given. I've often been in DMs where druggers have a mutual agreement not to attack each other, and I personally just find it irritating if someone breaks this mutual agreement.

- They're friends. On many occasions, I enter a DM with a few of my friends, or friends join after I enter a DM. In those cases, I often take a 'stronger together' attitude, and we avoid destroying each other to have a better chance of performing well against the other tankers. The only time where I break this point is where I'm drugging and my friends aren't; then I want to get my money's worth (all of my drugs are from Daily Bonuses, but that's not the point) xD

Hope that helped!
