How To Combat Druggers (A Followup to the Study), by HBJ

Greetings and salutations:

 

By now, many of you have seen my topic, A Study on Druggers (http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=209709). That was a little post I wrote about druggers and why they are annoying. However, the thread quickly turned into a rant thread. This topic hopefully will serve a purpose: to inform you, the good users of Tanki Online, CALMLY AND RESPECTFULLY, how to combat this menace. Please dont turn this into a rant thread! ill try too. I got into yoga, so im calm.

The Drugger: Any tanker who has used all powerups at once in-game. There are several tiers, see them in my original thread. They can do serious damage, and ruin a battle in your enemy's favor if not destroyed. The question is: how to kill them. In my experience (which might not be saying much), I have seen several methods, which are written down here.

 

 

METHOD 1: DEEP FREEZE:

The Freeze gun is absolutely PERFECT for facing druggers...why? Even on full drugs, the freeze gun, well, freezes them, slowing the tank down considerably and allowing other teammates to finish them off.

 

 

 

METHOD 2: PERSUE AND OVERTAKE: This requires teamwork. IF the entire team can surround the drugger and fire away, the drugger will be overwhelmed and be destroyed. For example, say you are on blue team in silence and a drugger is coming. Once he goes up the ramp and into your base

Have a couple teammates swing in around him while another few force the drugger to the wall and pin him down while spamming the fire button.

 

METHOD 3: A TASTE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE: Well, if you must, and if you think you can beat them drugged up, go for it. Turn it into a good old fashioned slobberknocker grudgematch. Whoever has better equipment and skill (and sometimes luck) will emerge victorious. This might have a chain reaction and turn the battle into a drug war. Ugh.

 

METHOD 4: MAKE LIKE A TREE AND LEAF (Haha): If you cant survive, even on drugs, flee. Regroup with friends and try to use method 2. Why get steamrolled over and over? The drugger probably wont chase you and waste precious seconds on their drugs.

try also having 2-4 rails in team shooting at the drugger (;

that's either gonna force him/them to take prodigi (so freeze actually works) or just die  :lol:

Umm its....good but it doesnt quite give much info, i,e its too short. Please try to extend it. Otherwise its a . um... good effort, could use some work.

He was merely offering a bit of constructive criticism. Although, method 2 is only effective if you have english players on your team, which is hard to find counting that many players in a match are most commonly russian.

Yeah I know. I didn't want to just rehash the first thread I wrote I wanted to just focus on how to combat the Druggers. I'm going to write more, it's just that it was 11 PM when I wrote it and I was tired.

 

I think that tanki is making English only servers so it should still work.

That would be a great idea, having separate servers,  one for EN players and one for RU players... much as there is a separate server for BR players.

you need at least 2 freeze to stop a drugger,cause he will heal and remove the freezing..

i kill druggers all the time with m2 freeze

ahhhhh......... the sensation when u circle them and they cant do a thing, then they die and rage at you.........  :)  :P  :D  :lol:  B)  ^_^

inferno is only in heavy m2 kit

and seeing drugger with inferno is rare

i see people with those m2 kits quite often,and often with both,and a good 90% of them is drugger... quite hard with freeze when they take inferno cx

i'd say the best weapons vs druggers are twins,smoky,freeze,rail and firebird,at least in my opinion..

(rico has not enough bullets to face someone with a first aid..)

Well but number one does not work if druger has twins( you cant even vome to him to freeze him)

it works,if the drugger doesnt have 30-50% freeze,just wait till he targets someone else then freeze him (at least in flag zones,if you mean in open field,your only choice is to go from behind him)

Despite my anger when I see them pushing 2, 3, 4 in sequence and the strong desire to respond the same way, wasting money in a useless and not so granted revenge... I try to avoid them.

You can do it pretty easily when the drugger is a big fat Mammoth standing still in one spot from where it bombs other player (pretty common view...)

It's harder when a Isida on a Hornet runs in a deadly frenzy hitting everyone, but you can spot it at distance from the icons and try to predict its path in order to avoid it.

Avoiding direct confrontation with druggers makes them waste with few or no kills the cost they spent for the power-ups.

At least some kind of revenge...

Shafts one shotting them is so funny to watch, especially when they die as soon as they start using a med kit
