shadewarttt how long did it take to make your scene??

This morning I made a quick physic demonstration.  I set sampling and resolution compression up and rendered it.  My silly think pad t400 took 9-10 hours to render 120 slides.  In the future I am soooo going to render anmations on my parents good tower computer.

Too bad textures don't save when transferring .blend files. Awesome map brah! The way you placed your objects is seamless. How?

Array modifiers to put all of the cliffs, bride, and ground tiles.  then when placing buildings, their bases line up with tiles.  So I go into wire frame view, top view (By pressing 7 with emulate numpad enabled in user preferences under input on the left) and line 1 of the  corners up a corner of a tile and its aligned.

Oh and once the building is placed delete the tiles underneath.

Wow epic stuff; will definitely get this software... once I've a new computer.

A new graphic card would work better then a new computer (GPU render is 4-5 times faster then CPU render)

The tiles are 1 of the 3ds models "Fliptile.3ds" Apply 2 array modifiers to it 1 along the x and Y axis.  Set the distance to 1 and the number to how many you want along that side to make a larger grid of them.

Looks like Highway.

I know I was looking at it and said "This looks like highways, what should I do to change it?"  I've got a couple of Ideas. Involving more buildings, to make it feel more like a city.

The grass image? Or the grass field?  A single tile will use one of the ground cover pictures  that dosen't have a dimension in the name, for instance the image grass2_2_3.jpg would be for 2x2 tiles and the third design for grass, which I forgot to mention, there are also tiles named tile1_2.jpg, tile1_3.jpg and so on those are for the larger details in the grouncover

It would be awesome if you use Goldboxes as the box stack and the bridge of your map as the scene.
