Creativity in 3D - Blender

It took WAY too long to make this.  Mainly stemming from cycles render / blender render issues.  I wanted to see what I could do so here's my first attempt at camera tracking!

Nice :)

Try with a tank from TankViewer now. That will be cool

Here's the tutorial if anyone wants to watch it.

Can you tell us how to do the contrast border effect?

If you lose the track point you can: find the frame before it gets lost, move it to a better pixel and from that frame track again.  This should work.

The contrast border on the tank was done in blender render (I'll explain why in a sec) in the render options one of the options is Freestyle, check it.  That's it, you can mess with the pixel count, it will change the width of the line.

So why blender render instead of cycles?  I was almost ready to render in cycles complete with textures on tank, but without a shadows only plane, when  blender crashed, I completely forgot to save.  So I do it again, better this time in general but I have plenty of render issues the way I'm doing it (different from the tutorial since I'm doing it in cycles)  so I finally cave, switch to blender render and finally get it working.

I feel pretty stupid, as I was about to post a question I think, maybe there's a tutorial out there!  There is.  If I had watched that ALL of my problems would be solved.  Why didn't I Google this last night?

Lol you scrambled random objects on your desk for tracking similar to most of the demonstrations on Youtube. :P Why is this a trend?

You need more tracking point, 'bout 15 and up.

Hah, I see you have all the resources. How about making a render of Goldbox landing on a real life object? Would be really interesting.
