I must say--I disagree with the OP. With a ban, one should be allowed to use less privileges than one who's not. It should make them feel ashamed of themselves that he did something wrong, and not do it wrong the next time.

 

Creating battles should definitely not be allowed because as Mitterpach said, battles can be used in profane titles.

 

Viewing profiles is cool. If you're banned, meh. You're banned. I always feel ashamed I ever did anything of the crime. Though, put this in the Ideas and Suggestion topic ;)

 

However if it was a small ban ( Swearing, spamming...etc) then everything would be normal.

Wrong. I was banned for flood--5 minutes, and I couldn't view a profile. Swearing--I have no clue because I'd never swear anytime even in real life. Though I've gotten bans for insults and "everything was not normal".

When you are banned you violated one of more rules, to prevent violating any other rules they ban forum and chat at the same time. And can't create battle's because of the battle title could be used to spam/use profane words.

That would be hard to achieve since people can make the weirdist form of swearing.

Unfortunately, there are litteraly countless ways to edit a swearword, yet has the same meaning.

So an auto ban system is pretty much useless there.

 

Flood is very simple to detect for the auto-ban, since it only needs to detect the time between the player's messages.

Though there are others ways to flood aswell, without triggering this auto-ban system.

This is why chat mods are needed.

 

 If you see people swearing, screen it, and sent it to a chat mod directly.
