Hello tankers! This series was made with the intention to introduce new or otherwise unacquainted users with the forums that the Tanki Online servers support 24/7; providing enough information for them to efficiently utilize and navigate their own way throughout the online message board. Read, enjoy, and (hopefully) be enlightened.  :)

General Content

The general content forum is the place to go for all your Tanki-oriented needs, musings, questions, and wonderings. It has a wide variety of sections, from reporting game violators to real moderators, to learning about paints that can't be found in your garage! It has slowly grown over the years from just hosting the General and Complaints sections, to what it is today. Read on to find out what this special forum has in store for those who know how to use it!

General: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=23

This subforum is the namesake of the whole forum section; it is where players ask general questions about special events or the potential future(s) of the game itself. Outliers from that description are community announcements made by the English staff members, such as photoshoots with special players or staff members, and even the monthly announcement of the debut of a new edition of the beloved English newspaper. :) It also includes 3 subsections - Conversation Clubs (for non-English speakers who do not have forums for their own vernacular), Ideas and Suggestions (self explanatory), and the Archive, which is the oldest and most extensive record of English topics in the whole forum, exceeding 600 pages of locked topics from the very beginning of the English forum in 2010. Strolling through the back pages brings back memories for the oldest generation of players...

FAQ: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=119

This section has most definitely needed the most time to be completed to the point it has been, today. The Frequently Asked Questions section offers players help in nearly every situation one could find one's self in, from looking for more crystals, to trying to resolve an inexplicable drop in your average FPS on the battlefield. So much effort has been thrown into this section, it should be a rule infringement to have not read all it contains. Its sections are as follows: Purchasing Crystals, Playing, Communicating, Crystals, Garage, Pics and Videos, Technical Issues, Account problem resolutions, and even a mini FAQ section for the Arabs in our international community.

Gameplay: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=132

Discussion of turrets, hulls, paints, supplies usage, even battle tactics - all can be conversed about in the Gameplay forum. Though the bulk of this helpful forum is set aside for discussion of individual weapons and tanks, certain game modes can be talked about as well, such as Fire/Wasp and Hornet/Railgun matches, among others. It contains two subsections: Discussion of Turrets and Hulls, and an archive, which is empty for the time being.

Violators: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=76

Found someone swearing in the chat, supporting a supposed crystal-hacking website, or threatening a friend of yours? All of that can be reported here, in the proper subforum. Just make sure you read the rules and list of acceptable evidence that can be used while making a report. Every accusation is studied by a real, human moderator, who will determine the validity of your report. Beware though, this is a pre-moderated forum, meaning that once you post your complaint topic, it will not be publicly visible until a moderator has looked into it. So, fret not if you don't see it up there after you post it. It has three subsections: One for Chat violators, one for game related rule breakers, and an Archive of many, miscellaneous and otherwise old reports. One who would peruse through the latter would find an interesting variety of purported illegal activities since the game's creation, such as tank corpses' shooting enemies, tanks flying around the map, and even players who hacked all the crystal drops to be deposited directly on top of their own tank! Don't get any ideas though - you will be caught.

Problems and [their] Solutions: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=131

If you are having problems in the game that does not include a human element, then this is the place to go. This helpful forum, which is patrolled actively by our faithful moderators, offers help with difficulties dealing from low FPS to ever-recurring fatal errors! Though a single player may not frequent it very often, this is most definitely a necessary part of the forum for all those who wish to play in it unhindered! It has an archive subsection, of varying problems that have been resolved in the past.

Up next: The Press section!

, I understand your concerns. But try to think in shoes like mine (as well as a host of other newbies' who should've some interest in this, I hope, at least!) for a sec.: we're new players; the fora are an arcane and mysterious place to us; most don't even visit it. The result? Sheer and utter confusion when it comes to finding a trivial but useful piece of information as to how to use it.

E.g., just the other day I spent about an hour trying to quote a user's nickname to no avail. Two consultants (one a veteran and another a trainee) failed me.

And this is something I'd done before, here in the TO forum, i.e.! But somehow I'd just managed to forget the simple BBCode format (or the 'special' button that does it for us)! :P

Finally got my answer thru' @Issho_Fujitora, who was kind enough to guide me to http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=182745.

So my point is this: if more and more new players (who've just started to use TO and are either too lazy or too inept to dig out the archives) find something from this article and the sequels, maybe it's not such a bad thing?

As a user, you do not have those privileges. Only game offenders should be banned, and only moderators have the power to do so, so you must report the user to a moderator with sufficient evidence, in the correct part of the forums.
