For my aspect, if my team tries hard but loses after all, I stick to my team whether they lose or not. This is a game after all. I wouldn't betray my team if they really were not mults from opposing team. We should be together till the end for better or for worse :)  Good friendships sprout like that  ;)

A better solution would be to increase the rewards for the losing team.  As it is losing teams often quit early into the match.  There is no incentive to stay and short of druggers coming in at the last moment to loot the battle fund it is unlikely the losing team will ever have as many people as the winning team.  In order to join a winning team in the first place chances are the game is either pretty close or infested with multis. 

 

Switching teams when possible is parasitic but it is hard to call people unethical simply for acting in their own self interest.  Better to design the system in such a way that this is prevented, which for the most part seems to be the case already given you can only join a team with fewer players.

@Meowmix: Yes, that's what I've been talking about before. Maybe Tanki Online should find ways to give the losing team an incentive to stay.

Such as how you mentioned, increasing rewards for the losing team.

 

And you bring up a very good point, how this is sort of already prevented. Like you said, we can only join a team with fewer players, in most cases, since the vast majority of battles have the balance feature enabled. (The icon that looks like the Yin-yang sign)

But at least im not one of those noobs who holds grudges or makes fun of someone else because of something that happened in the past. Like yesterday you told me to leave that polygon cp battle because I hate druggers, yet u were busy kill stealing and chatting.
