There's a good side and bad side to this..

The good side is that, I have seen that communication is much more better. Weather its a low rank battle, or a high rank battle. Communication is something very important in TO

The bad side is that, Some people don't just speak 1 language, I might not be able to speak Dutch or Russian but I'm sure there's lot of people in English Community who can speak Russian but just Prefer English.

My Opinion is that this change is bad. It separates the communities out too much. Separating the forums is okay but the Servers I dont find Comfortable.

Vote this post down if you think this change is Bad,

Listen seperate servers like battle-en1. , batlle-ru1, battle-de1, like brazil servers

I agree

This to me is not an update, it is simply a change to the main game link which most players don't use anyhow with a prefix of RU/EN/DE attached to the server number.

The server load will not change with this so called update, the whole system should be changed so that the type of game would be played on certain servers, ie capture the flag server one thou twelve, DM thirteen thou twenty-four, etc..

It would also be good to have certain servers where only pro battles may be created in each of these categories.

And finally a server jump option right in the screen in game just like the friends list where you can quickly jump from one server to another.

however this means the map creation would have to be specific to server

Fail Update...

We dont need segregation in a Video Game..
Communication is not an issue, we all know what the goals of the game are, shoot/cap, rinse/repeat...

The fact that Tanki is trying to suggest to its communities that we should stick to our own servers is an absolute joke, "by giving them more of a common ground for interaction."  what a backwards statement. How in the world is division = common ground Semyon?

I suggest country / group of countries specific servers and some international platforms as understanding the chat make a lot difference in a game.

otherwise add some translated chat software for usual chat sentences so that all players understand what is said in their respective language.

Furthermore there must be a command so that a player can communicate only with his teammates. after all who wants to share their strategy with enemy.

No thank you, no battles in my rank in 3 English server's i checked, + there's like no people in them either. All the good battle's are in the Russian server's. Just add a chat translator if possible, that would make thing's so much easier then dividing the communities.

Dear tankionline staff,

Thank you for trying to make the game better with each update.

I have a suggestion on this update, why don't you make the 1 -> 27 english servers, because english is very know language, usally people tend to choose the first servers to play on, if i was a new tanki user and i enter a server and i find every one tanking russian i would propably never visit the game again.

Also, i always see that the first servers host the majority of players, and the other servers doesn't have a lot of players which makes it hard to find someone to play with.

This is all about server load. The logic behind the update is completely flawed,to think that by suggesting servers to play on based on language is ridicules, it  has never stopped players from choosing a specific server to play on in the past, players have always chosen the server based on volume of games they want to play, ie: no supply XP battles in server one, and no supply kungar in server 2.

It was also the meeting spot before the friends system was in place where friends always met on chat.

Some players designated server 1, others 2 while some preferred 5 etc. The other thing that happens is as the server fills up and players cant get in, they choose the next busiest server.

Its all about access to the battles they want to play.

The answer to the problem of server load and lag is much more complex than simply segregating players from different areas of the world to certain servers, if that were the case, then logic says place  those servers in different parts of the world so that players would choose servers that were closer to their location so that some players aren't routed over 15 to 20 locations while other only route through 4 or 5 locations to connect to servers, this is what they did for Brazil and China.

The drawback of that is that it is no longer a global platform and many will still opt to play on the russian servers because thats where the most games are created.

Another option that is overlooked by everyone is the rank of players on a server, if they split up some servers for ranks from Recruit to Warrant officer 5 for example and some for ranks from Third Lieutenant to Generalisimo, this would also reduce the load on servers.

And of course my previous idea to split servers up by type of battle ie: CTF, DM, TDM, and CP would also reduce the load.

I am sure some of these ideas crossed the table in Tankis board room but it involves real work to accomplish, and that costs money so I guess adding a suggested server looked like the most cost effective solution to try and reduce the load, I expect less than 5% reduction from this update if that, and 95% discontented players.

Now for what I believe this update is really about is to get input on how they should set up their new unity project and this is a way for them to get fresh ideas from players on how to best set it up, at least if I was building a new platform this would be a very interesting way of getting free ideas.

PS: If you like my ideas, send me crystals  :P

It's good, but not in all aspects. For example, most of the people play in 1-12 Servers (approximately), so the suggestions won't help much - all of those who always play in a specific server (there are many like that) will continue playing in it, so it won't be effective. I doubt that this will help each community grow by itself.

This wont make any difference as we can still get in any server we want... and we wont wanna change our XP server ( server 1 ) unless you make a separate XP server where u can get only Hornet and railgun... I suggest u get that ASAP in the game coz XP is gaining popularity real fast.

Actually.... its like "You don't know what XP is? Oh maybe u are a noob yet" ;)

The best is a system that translates, for example: a Russian who says " Пойдем ", and the system translated into English if you can speak English or French that you have selected a language.
