TO Insider Series: Meet Semyon Kirov

Many would of thought of Semyon as just a bloke who only talks reading the script. Hope people manage to see how much work is actually required.

I too have a passion to help people. That's why I set up an advice center :)

A truly awesome article. Awesome job to whoever did this! :D

if tanki online/ games your passion

WHY DON'T YOU PLAY OR WHY DONT YOU RANK UP

is there other account?

what is that?

It's probably because Semyon is always busy, meaning he gets little time to play.

I just love to read stories about a person's past and what happened to them in the past that lead them to do what they are doing at this moment. I'm hoping that we get to see more interviews on the Tanki Online Staff, someone like Hazel-Rah, who I rarely know anything about.Every person has a unique history to tell.

"Excellent! Semyon!"  :)

P.S. This says it all:

Tanki is a real 3D, in-browser game (that was something really special back in 2008). Also, the fact that there’s no difference between players who invest money in the game and those who don’t, is a great thing too. A non-buyer can get exactly the same items as a buyer; he or she just has to spend more time to get them. This is a really good thing because with time comes experience, and skill!

I like this two sentences:

-So when people tell you that dreams don’t come true, tell them to sod off-

-always remember, skills can be learned, but passion is a gift. So if you’ve got it, use it-

absolutely true. I am more older than Semyon, but I thought the same. When I was a kid, I started with my home computer and , from the beginning, I loved programming language and I loved to write programs. And now I am a programmer, and I love my job ... and this is great: I see every day tons of people whom hate their job, and this is very bad.

you said that there’s no difference between players who invest money in the game and those who don’t, . that couldn't be more wrong.

players that spend money fund your pay check and the development of the game, don't say that they don't

A player can spend upwards of a couple thousand dollars or more to establish  an arsenal with full upgrades...

These people should be considered contributors just as much if not more then someone that does not spend money , and they should be able to obtain items that players that spend no money cant.  I think that at some point a player who has contributed a certain amount of capital should be recognized as a contributor and rewarded for their hard earned money spent , after all this game didn't just pop out of thin air - some one had to pay for it .

Every one knows how much capital TANKI generates you show us every time you post one of your video blogs.

and with that being said we know that competition breeds obsession for power and player obsessed with having the next best thing will find a means to obtain it.

so if an item can only be obtained with cash then you have just created a whole new way to generate revenue.

Hows that for contribution ?           .

^Yeah, but the whole economic basis of Tanki, and what has made it so popular is that there isn't that direct separation between buyers and non-buyers. What you are suggesting has been implemented in many games previously, but they have a limited span of popularity, with most dying after so many years. TO is beautiful and unique in this sense.
