You decide what you want to play. Its just an option for playing it, so if you have bad internet or a laggy PC YOU should play this format.

I dont know why everyone takes DM as an example, its just for team plays.

NO!!!! DM is not for play as TEAM. TDM as you dont know mean Team DeathMatch and users will TEAM in your battle! you can FORBIDE that, thats the point. Still, idea is good but never work becouse noobs will TEAMing.

Sounds very interesting and fun, would defiantly try out.

But don't you think it would cause more lag? 3 teams requires a big map, and with that many players... I don't think many computers can handle such graphics and this amount of visual effects, moreover, PING lag would also occur because of the large number of players.

It would not have to be more players. Just the amount of players already assigned for that map would be split into 3. And anyways, some maps have a huge amount of players already (berlin) if you did want to add more, do it for just the smaller maps. or mid-sized maps

in capture the flag, who is going to capture whose flag

as RustyNail mentioned (BTW nice explanation rusty) or like this:

If there were 6 teams (purple/P, blue/B, green/G, yellow/Y, orange/O, & red/R), them team:

  • P can capture the enemies' flags of the B, G, Y, O, & R teams
  • B can capture the enemies' flags of the P, G, Y, O, & R teams
  • G can capture the enemies' flags of the P, B, Y, O, & R teams
  • Y can capture the enemies' flags of the P, B, G, O, & R teams
  • O can capture the enemies' flags of the P, B, G, Y, & R teams
  • R can capture the enemies' flags of the P, B, G, Y, & O teams
So, since there's six teams, the total find will be divided by 6 (it will be big, esp. if it's 1+ hr battle with 999 flags to capture) then it will be divided to each player. As rustynail, idk the formula for the rewards Edited by BlueDragon_tamki

Big maps like lost temple or dusseldorf look like they are made for 4 teams battles!

4 teams would be pretty cool to have in tanki... but the current gamemodes do not fit with multiple teams.

i had in mind a new gamemode made especially for multiple teams, here is it:

Each team has 4 control-point like structures in their bases.

the map has 4 special flag-like objects in 4 key points, that match the 4 points in bases.

each team has to take those flags and bring them to the relative points in their bases.

When a team gets 1 of those, the control point is active and it starts to produce points.

the game can end on set time or amount of points.

there might even be a variant where the winner team is the first to take all 4 flags to base.

It should be implemented but it should be in a completely new gamemode. Like MTDM (Multi Team Death Match). It would be pretty good in large maps like Dusseldorf.

Great man, thanks for the positive feedback, but the truth is that I proposed four and not six teams. Four teams arranged in two alliances. I can't find the original topic, if anyone can find it please put a link here... :)
