A way around killstealing.

Have you ever been annoyed if when you're almost done killing someone, some random guy swoops in and takes the last hit? Well this could be the idea for you. My main idea is, for DM, to give the guy who inflicted more damage the kill score, and both of the people, the kill stealer and the regular player get splitted exp points, kind of the way the game splits points in TDM, and in CTF, the killstealer would still get the kill score, but the other guy who worked harder on killing him gets more exp, like in TDM.

That's the point of DM's. Killing. You get one point for 1 kill. How would you divide that? If you want to, TDM's are great because you can kill a guy all by yourself or a teammate comes and you can get even more EXP.

You can't split the kill point, but the exp will be split between the killstealer and the guy who inflicted more damage

The guy who inflicted more damage gets the kill score = 1 kill for him

to keep the game balance and as fahim_the_boss said too many railguns are very bad

it should like only exp should be divided. the person who killed the tank gets the kill

come on guys think of it kill stealing brings the fun to the game (and anger too)  so it would be unconvenient to take that fun away but everyone should be rewarded

 

ps don't get me wrong i hate killstealers and i ain't any

The point of DM is to work on your own, no one is helping you, if we make it like TDM when you share the score, the what makes DM different the TDM? Except there are teams, but I think I like DM more like this, when you are on your own, against each other, also kill stealing is fun and bad at the same time, it makes the game more challenging and harder, who would play a super easy game?

Obviously, this would detract from the game dynamic. DM is a place to figure out when to shoot in the hope that you will be the guy who takes the last bit of health from that, ever feared, drugging Mammoth. As @lordmostafa just said, in DMs you are left on your own and you always have to watch your back because no one is going to work collaboratively with you. That is part of it, if you can survive long enough to try, now you have to compete for the kill.

Frankly I get most of my kills on dm by killstealing and im not ashamed of it . And I can teach you how to do it . Get a big caliber gun and follow the drugging thunder ( with sight not for real ) you will see a bunch of noobs trying desperately to kill the drugger. When he damages them you fire and presto you got a kill steal.

i dont want 2 do anything about this cuz kill stealing is a part of this game

Get a big caliber gun and follow the drugging thunder ( with sight not for real ) you will see a bunch of noobs trying desperately to kill the drugger. When he damages them you fire and presto you got a kill steal.

Lol!

We here to solve it not make it difficult.

If I tried that I'll be the first one to die.

My friends got my back and I got their back in DM sometimes. By the way druggers always find me lol. Actually everyone finds me even when I am drugging and killing me cause I have hornet. (Waste of drugs the whole time, I only get like almost 3 kills)

Just wanna say lol to all that 'cause nothing is better.

I understand that some here think, killstealing is the key to successfull DM today.

In respect of your understandting - this killstealing is also the fact why there are next to no DM games on the servers once the ranks get higher.

 

People have no time to waste.. playing DM and getting no reward for their time.

So if you want to keep DM a "dead" playmode keep it like it is.

If you want to have a higher DM rate on the servers, please make the score demage based, and not kill based.

 

If some think that rail would be the weapon of choice, then consider that you also have to stay alive to master a DM game.

It does not help to respawn, shot once and deal a lot of demage.. and then die.

You still should plan good ahead, in order to attack guys in medium to close range only, if you think you can finish them off.

 

So the "I can kill you now" skill is still needed. But if you fail.. yon don't loose all your effort.

Some guns have so high DPS, and just this guns will be able to win a DM.

İn current system, KS guns are also can win.

 

I also don't like KS, but I do for my 2/3 of the kills.

It is not just about demage per second, it is also about how many seconds you can stay alive.

Weaposn with high demage per second (like firebird) usually set you out to some risk to die.

 

except for hammer.. but hammer is a different story. Lets wait until everyone has purchased a hammer.. so then tanki can downgrade its statistics afterwards..
