  • You can capture a video and report them.
  • You can inform them that you are capturing video and will  be reporting them. Sometimes this alone is enough to stop them.
  • You can use the "/vote players_name" it has been working more frequently lately. Make sure to ask others to vote as well. It takes multiple reporters to draw the attention of a moderator. I usually put "/vote player_name" sent  in the chat as well. Sometimes the offender will leave.
  • As a last effort you can ask everyone to leave the battle and stop feeding the saboteurs.

Thanks so much, I tried it a coupla times and it already is working! You guys are awesome, keep up the great work!

P.S. Welcome SgtRock61 (aka Gary) to the campaign! He and I are very close friends.

No it's not. Cheating effects growth and player retention and therefore by extension effects income. TO are going through a particularly good time right now so it's unlikely to be considered soon. I don't mind that but what I do mind is players saying it's doomed for no good reason. If you had one I'd certainly consider it but you don't. Multing and cheating is a major problem in this game. Something does need to be done about it. If you're happy with this then you're in the minority. I have over 150+1s for that suggestion and only 15 -1's.

This idea is very simple to implement. It works from score and time, ie two things that don't need anything complicated like detecting outcomes of graphic collisions while compensating for lag and bad internet connections across the world. I don't need to aim higher or anything more complicated.

I wish I had access to those stats you have because I see a lot more than a couple.

The fact that you do not agree with my opinion does not make it unclear.

I do not have stats. I go to maybe 10 battles a day. I rarely see multing or sabotage. This is my experience. It is not statistics for the entire company. I am sad that at your rank things become worse. That makes me not to look forward to ranking up.

By the way, 100-200 +1's out of thousands of players is less than 1%. We need to pick it up.

Well for those who voted, it's over 90% in agreement and you can extrapolate that if you want.

And multing goes on at every level. If you're not seeing it then you're not paying attention.

Seeing as we will probably not be getting any improved systems any time soon we need to educate as many people as possible on the importance of using the systems we do have, and teaching them how to use them. This is what we are doing with this topic, myself and many others are well aware that new and improved systems are needed and we continue to improve our ideas and methods for bringing these issues to light. The more the word of this campaign spreads, the  more effective it becomes. There is strenght in numbers.

I agree but, sometimes bad thing happen to good people, this is life. We are keeping this topic alive in the hopes that someday the devs will hear our plea. After all they finally did something for all the XP guys that complained about their games getting ruined, now what about the rest of us?

This topic will change tanki some day :)

This is KrystenHunt16's alt... I was playing on Espalande CTF (not sure if I spelled that correctly). I had the flag but a couple of trolls pinned me down and held me to the wall for the remainder of the game. I asked others to report the trolls and nobody did. One person even said (quote):

"F*** you do-gooders, nobody cares about that kind of crap"

Seriously... what do I do?? I don't have video recording software and I'm unsure on how to take a screenshot (I use a Samsung Chromebook).

First World Problems, this whole thread, first world problems

Oh nooooo, my internet number is going down (sarcasm if you can't tell) Life is to short to worry about people being "jerks" online

I have published my first episode in the series Tanki Online: A Jerk Named ...

Tanki Online: A Jerk Named ...

Should I report it somewhere?

I saw that player shooting his/her own players several times. That is sabotage and should be reported in the "Game Violators" section.  Read the rules in that section so you use the correct procedure for reporting and then post the video with references to times of clear sabotage. He/she should get a ban for that. Well done. However I would change the name of your series to something else, like Tanki Online: A Saboteur Named..... That's just me, but it is up to you.  Caution: Don't become so obsessed with trying to capture these people on video that you neglect your duty to your team. I'm not saying you did that, you did it right, but the caution is for everyone including myself.

As @KrystenHunt16 has suggested, I added a section about SUPPLY HOARDERS.

  1. SUPPLY HOARDERS: a player that needlessly grabs all the supplies. Sometimes they will even block or push you to prevent you from getting supplies. If you do not need the supply don't pick it up, unless your are trying to stop the enemy from getting it. Just think before you take it, a team mate may need it. Remember, you don't get any points or XP from picking up supplies.
  2. Think about those supplies. Will picking up, when I don't really need it, help my team by preventing the enemy from getting it? Do one of my team mates need it? Do I need that speed up for defense or does the guy running flags need it?

I also added some info to the part about protecting your passwords.
  • This harvesting of information may be for other more serious reasons. If you use the same login name and password on other sites, they now have access to that as well.

and a caution...

  • CAUTION: Don't become so obsessed with a player that set out to ruin the game that you yourself become a saboteur or mult. Remember your duty is to the team you joined.

Thank you. I reported it. We will see what the mods say. If they complain about the title, I'll change it. :)

The reason for shooting him was that he had not earned the right to take the gold box. If he had been in the battle from the beginning or even a shorter period of time and been helping his team, then that would have meant he had earned the chance to take the box.

EDIT: I should clarify what I have an issue with. If you are lucky enough to join a battle and a gold box drops shortly after you join and you get it, great good for you, but stay and help your team. What I don't like is people that only come in, looking for gold boxes and then leave.

What gives you the right to dictate who gets the gold boxes?

What gives you the right to dictate who gets the gold boxes?

So I guess you are ok with being in a long battle only to have some guy come in, grab the gold box and leave without contributing anything to the battle. If you say you are, you're a lair. The players that fight hard in that battle are the ones that have the right to dictate who should not get the gold.

I've got a couple of stories about gold boxes, and then a few questions that I'd like very much answered:

I had been battling hard in this 30 minute CTF battle and we got the goldbox warning. Just then a player joined and began fighting for the gold box, blocking his teammates (who had been playing hard) from getting it. The player who had just joined ended up getting the box, laughed and cursed at the other players, and then left.

The second story goes like this:

There was a scenario very similar to the first one. I had been battling, alongside a pair of VERY good players, for about 45 minutes, when we got the goldbox warning. A player who had joined 5 minutes earlier said in the chat "ooo gold can i have it plzz plzz??" One of the other players, who had been playing hard, replied "You don't deserve gold, so shut up". The first player did get the goldbox, but since he had been put down by his teammates, left.

Both of these scenarios are very similar. A player joins right when the box drops, takes it, and leaves. The difference is the reason why they left. The first one had been scanning through games to see if gold boxes were available, found a battle, exploited it, and left. The second joined in a battle and was likely going to help out the team, got lucky, and got the gold. But since he had been put down by his teammates, he left, dejected.

So really, who dictates who gets gold boxes? Or a better question: Should anyone dictate who gets gold boxes?

Here's my opinion: Gold boxes are gifts from Tanki, given to battles in which there are players who have shown they are dedicated to their teams. If a player should join and grab a goldbox, they do sort of owe it to the team to stay and battle it out for at least the remainder of the match, if not then the next one. If a player keeps 'scanning' for gold, they're likely going to get a lot more gold boxes, but is it really right to exploit the spoils of your fellow tankers' hard work?

Please don't get me wrong, all I'm saying is that if someone is honestly lucky and happens to get a goldbox right when they join, don't put them down, unless they repeat the behavior several times.

All feedback is accepted. You have every right to hate on me for having an opinion (sarcastic). Seriously though, please reply, and speak your mind!

Well I think you covered it all. If the guy had not begged to have the gold box maybe things may have ended differently for him. People have different opinions about the gold box hunters, which is fine. The one thing that seems to be the root of most of the issues discussed in this topic is a lack or respect of others. :(

I really don't care, Gold Boxes are hard earned, and you (or anyone else) don't have the right to say who or who not gets the gold.

P.S I am not a Lair XD

I think the gold box part is irrelevant. If someone joins a battle, he/she/it should play honestly for the duration he/she/it's there until he/she/it leaves for whatever reason.

Although I don't know how ethical or whether it is sabotage of not if whoever gets the gold box leaves immediately. In a few battles I was in, I saw whoever gets the gold box gets abused with the F-word and other words. I have only caught two gold boxes. Once I was given the F-word, and once I did not pay attention, so I do not know if I got it. My son gets the F-word at least sometimes when he catches the gold box, so maybe it is good to leave immediately.
