Thank you sir, for replying! Mostly I'm just wondering why people are trying to dictate who gets goldboxes.

I really don't care, Gold Boxes are hard earned, and you (or anyone else) don't have the right to say who or who not gets the gold.

I think the gold box part is irrelevant. If someone joins a battle, he/she/it should play honestly for the duration he/she/it's there until he/she/it leaves for whatever reason.

 

Although I don't know how ethical or whether it is sabotage of not if whoever gets the gold box leaves immediately. In a few battles I was in, I saw whoever gets the gold box gets abused with the F-word and other words. I have only caught two gold boxes. Once I was given the F-word, and once I did not pay attention, so I do not know if I got it. My son gets the F-word at least sometimes when he catches the gold box, so maybe it is good to leave immediately.

OK   I will refine the parts about grabbing gold boxes. A "gold box hunter" is not the same as the player that just joined a battle and was lucky enough to get a gold. This player will probably stay and fight depending on his/her integrity. I still feel it is wrong to move from battle to battle simply "hunting" gold boxes. It is disrespectful to the other players in those battles for two reasons.

1.  In my opinion the right to grab the gold box belongs to the members of the teams in the battle up to that point or those intending on staying the rest of the battle, not "gold box hunters".
2. I feel that gold box hunters are a hindrance or detriment to the team they join because they are not there to help, they are there for their own selfish reasons.They rarely stick around after the gold drops and while they are there, they are not much better then a mult taking up valuable space.

I have included "gold box hunters" in this topic because I feel these players ruin the game for others. I also feel it is also partly Tanki's fault for promoting "gold box hunter of the week".

Again it comes back to RESPECT or lack there of. If players had more respect for others, we wouldn't even need this topic. Unfortunately many of today's youth are very self centered, selfish and have little respect for anyone or anything. Social media doesn't help this situation because it is easy to be selfish and disrespectful when you never see the other person face to face. Why is cyber bullying at an all time high? Everyone is so tough hiding behind a keyboard, especially when their is no punishment for your actions. When a person is held accountable for his/her actions, it makes you think about what you are about to do. And if by writing this I can help change the attitude of just one person, it was worth my time. :)

Have you ever played top base in Noise? Have you ever seen wasps and hornets arguing so they can jump up on top of the building directly adjacent to where gold usually falls? No? Well you might find you are two men down on that side because of these gold box hunters. All some of them do is defend against people attacking themselves and just wait there for the box to fall. They do nothing to assist anything else.

 

You can agree to disagree but this behaviour needs to be stopped unless you're one of them.

Hello. I am a player on your game and I have an idea with Joker_Assassin. Hear me out, and I may sound crazy, do not ban him. Every time the MODS do, the people in that server knows him, so he becomes more famous. If you don't ban him, and everyone ignores him, he'll die down, and no one will talk to him, causing for him to become un famous. The way Joker works is that he loves to be banned. He feeds off being banned, and every time you ban him, the people know him, and those people who see it, adds a number of people who know him, causing him to be talked about, making him famous.

You didn't understand what I said, I don't care if someone takes a gold box and leaves. What I do care about is they are having insults fired at them, and people on their OWN TEAM flip them so they don't get a gold box.

Well I see tanki has taken NO steps to address these players even when the violators are reported.  Prime example, in a flag game some players would sit by the enemy's flag preventing anyone else from getting the flag.  The player who grabbed the flag would deliver it to a buddy who would take it in to score.  I reported all of the players who were doing this and tanki did absolutely nothing.  

 

I reported this to a moderator who's sage advice was post it in the forum - ugh.  So this means I would have to take screen captures, take names and report all the details simply because tanki cannot be bothered to do anything.

 

This BS is real old.  So tempted to do some hacks until tanki actually does something meaningful about the BS.

While I don't think that giving the flag to another person to let them score is wrong, (heck, I play as Isida, so I rarely get the flag; any flags I get are given to me), I also don't think that sitting on the flag to prevent anyone from getting it is a violation. Yes, it is annoying and yes, it can get you kicked for 'foul play', but honestly I don't think there's any rule against it. Though it's a waste of time and a waste of a tank.

 

The real problem comes after the flag is picked up. The guy who gets the flag is immediately under fire from both teams, his enemies trying to get the flag back and his 'friends' trying to steal it from him. Again, waste of time. If you have the flag and you get shot at, or see other teammates shooting at someone with the flag, then you can report.

Yes, it is my job as a player to take extra effort to record these violations (with an extension to record this crap) and post them (probably have to find a place to host it too).  What is the point of /vote if nothing is done?  There is no point of the /vote function if it does nothing.  it means absolutely nothing if nothing is done about it.  AS the saying goes either poop or get off the pot.  Tanki do something or just leave the whole thing open to hackers and slashers.

 

@Krysten - yet they were doing that too.

 

SHould run a poll to see if players think tanki is doing anything about this issue.  Tanki can then compare that to what they think they are doing as a bench mark.  If you think you are doing great and your customers think you are doing bad then there is a problem (maybe tanki would think they have bad customers...could not resist a poke)

They did remove the kick system for a reason and sometimes when a clan wanted to play together and some other player joined, they used the kick system to unfairly remove that player from battle. I partially agree with this topic. Mults and saboteurs get on my nerves as well - I was playing a Farm CTF (50 flags) and someone left on my team. This other guy joins the battle and sits there for 3 minutes doing nothing - luckily we were about 5 captures ahead so they only managed to equalise but eventually he started playing: http://prntscr.com/5z6bgv  Oh and this is perfect evidence. You see player general_abrams he used M2 Viking M2 Isida Rustle against a bunch of M3 Mammy/Twins/Taigas. This goes to show, it's not always about the equipment - lower ranks are still very good players but don't have enough rank to obtain their M3 so when a low ranker joins don't say "Leave mult."

 

Now the crystal update has been removed, I do think there are a lot less mults but people still pushing and barging with weapons such as Vulcan really won't help the game. Vulcan is OP enough to flip a Viking M3 - if it can do that, people will be multing in games to try and flip their own team up.  Remember the Violators Section is still here. :)

They removed it because it was easily abused as you say.

The Kick2 suggestion is a lot fairer. Time to revisit this.

Do you know what a mult is?  A mult is typically an inactive player. The name came about because players usually use their "multiple" accounts.

You may be confusing their behavior with sabotage. Both have the same result.
