I don't get lag when recording and you can tell the names of players in youtube when you go 1080hd and full screen so there is no worry about recording.

 

My idea

/record offender name ( not really recording ) just faking

• In Tab (Name-Score-Destory-Deaths-D/L) there name will appear RED
• Icon on near Flags or Time ( or whereever ) will show someone is recording.

 

My suggestion of /von, /voff or a function key is fine - no need to change it. What is your command to turn it off? /recordoff?

About faking recording - If there is any possibility whatsoever that players feel that you're a faker then they will still continue to sabotage which is not so good. 

I do kind of like the idea of names (in tab), changing colour but I don't think tanki would do it for a number of reasons. If they do, then great.

Again, I like the idea of giving a reason but languages get in the way.

 

As I said in my suggestion, the helper gets no special privileges or power. I suggested it this way to minimise abuse. Helpers only gather evidence for violation mods to consider, but have control of an icon to show that evidence is being gathered. That's as simple as it needs to be for now. If we're lucky enough for tanki to implement this deterrent and it proves to be useful then maybe tanki might expand on it.

I have met a lot of generalismo multing, so rank is not a solution.

The forum is actually good at giving bans, but problems arise because:

 

1) the battle is over, you have lost the crystals.

2) videos must be 5 minutes long, which I think is too long.

3) many don't know how to record.

 

I think this idea is great AZ, it solves the 3rd problem. And like some people have already said, the deterrence is important too.

 

But, I think there should be more deterrence. I think there should be a penalty system introduced, which, instead of giving small period bans, takes crystals of the saboteurs, or even bans them forever. An absolutely no-tolerance system like that I think would help, especially at the higher ranks.

 

Something like this:

 

If you are convicted of multing or sabotaging in a video >2 minutes you get one penalty point. If you are convicted of multing or sabotaging in a video >5 minutes you are given 3 penalty points.

 

Points are reduced over time, a point per month passed.

 

Once 5 points are reached, you lose 30% of your crystals. Once 10 points are reached you lose 50% of your crystals. Once 15 points are reached you lose your account.

 

I think deterrence is the answer.

Others could include,

• For sabotage - Lose the turret or/and hull of the tank you used to sabotage (or reduce it's modifications, eg, m3 to m2) - mods discretion.
• Take 5000 crystals from the violator and reward those who have taken the time to report.

The rewarding isn't SO good... You know - after all, they report mainly because it simply makes the game experience better, so rewarding will be kinda giving Crystals for making the gameplay better for yourself....

If I take 30mins to an hour out to gather, process, upload and report evidence to the benefit of all, why shouldn't I get paid for it from the violator himself? It doesn't have to be 5k, it could be a token gesture. I know it's unlikely to happen but I would accept this idea.

It's not really paying yourself for better experience- it's more compensation for wasted time and probably lost funds. And it's appropriate that the mult or saboteur pay you himself.

I don't see what ranks have to do with this. There can be a probation period to test the candidates.

If only the Devs took time to look at posts like these. I went through just about the whole Tanki Online Forums. (Ok so I was bored) and found multiple topics where players are offering ideas to help make Tanki Online better, but none of the staff actually does anything other than saying yea this is cool 'n stuff. If the Devs or mods really DO look at these posts and consider them, some of us like to know because it looks like these topics are being ignored.
