Kicking mults out of a battle won't make them disappear, they'll just find another one.

  Kicks could be monitored and bans applied to players who persist.

 

So, how would you deal with mults like me?

Mults are spread across a wide range of player types, so you'd find mults within weak players, average players and even top scorers. Your system would put a significant percentage of players in a vulnerable position because you presume that a player with a Score and Work Rate below 55% of the average is more likely to be a mult/saboteur, which is not necessarily true.

  No. I said those players exhibit mult-like behaviour.

 

Nobody said this solution was 100% the answer to all the problems with tanki but it's a whole lot better than what they have now and it's hard to abuse but for some reason, don't ask me why, you're intent on derailing it. I see you confessed to being a saboteur and a mult when you get bored, maybe that is the reason but now you've revealed your true colours I would appreciate it if you could stop being difficult.

Well I have now crossed over to the dark side.  If you can't beat em, join em.

 

I found an easy why to "be 1st in 3 battles"  Play 1 v 1  get the first kill and then hide in the garage until the end. Easy

 

I have given up trying to play team type battles. It is pointless. I've started to play DM where I can be as selfish as I like.  Nice job Tanki, you managed to turn one of your most honest players into a dishonest one like all the rest.     

 

 

That's assuming I even bother to play. 1 hour in the last week. LOL

Well I have been pulled back from the dark side. I didn't like what it turned me into. The dark side is an evil place and I'm better then that. 

 

 

 

You can never get rid of multing in this game. It just comes with the package!

I'm usually an above-average player (in terms of score) and when I'm bored or ticked off I can be the biggest mult in the game! I have blocked teammates, pinned them, pushed them off edges, flipped them, paused the game and waited for gold, you name it! I tend to do that every now and then. Why? I don't know maybe I have some mental problems, but sometimes I just enjoy it! And you won't be able to kick me out with your system anyway.

 

Actually, I believe most mults in the game are "occasional" mults, meaning at certain times they might be bored or upset about something and they take it out on their teammates or just sit and wait for gold, but most of the time they'd be decent players.

Let me clarify something. A mult is generally an inactive player and would be easily dealt with by this system. Most of what you admit to doing during your bouts of mental instability  ;)  is sabotage. Sabotage is much harder to deal with but possibly may be able to be handled by this system, depending on your score.

 

The ridiculously high demand for crystals is a direct cause for the number of player that have fallen victim to the attraction of dishonesty. What we really need to do is figure out a way to reduce the attraction of the dark side.

You really have no real good reasons for continuing to argue other then you have a problem with people that want to control you and other like you. After all your comments, I still don't understand what your idea of a better Tanki would be. Maybe it is one with no rules or limits and free crystals for everyone. 

I say that mults shouldn't disappear because mults are beneficial for weaker players, and until finding a way to both gaining real money and making the game playable enough for them, mults shouldn't disappear.

So what you are saying is it is ok to cheat if you are a weak player? Have you ever heard the saying "Two wrongs don't make it right." You are exactly the type of player that is ruining this game for everyone else. I hope you get banned permanently. Here is another option, work on building your skills and you wont be a weak player and you can stop making excuses for being a dishonest person. Let me guess you think if someone can't make it in the real world, the world should adjust things to suit them. Wake-up, that is not how the real world works.  I bet you would justify stealing something if you don't have enough money to buy it because it isn't fair that you can't find a good paying job.

 

 

Actually that was all a little harsh. Maybe you are just a kid who still lives in dream world or maybe where you live it is perfectly acceptable to lie, cheat and steal. 

 

 

Sorry to everyone else for this little rant. This guy gets on my nerves.

for some reason, don't ask me why, you're intent on derailing it.

 

  1. I have a problem with druggers/clans/raiders and they have "sabotaged" many of my battles. Being a single, non-drugger (well normally) player who enjoys long battles, this system could be disastrous for me should I end up playing on the same side with druggers or a clan. I don't get to pick my teammates and I'm not going to spend an hour searching for a battle that suits my playing style.
  2. I am a proponent of map variety, and especially large maps. I usually play defense and it's not uncommon to have a Score and Work Rate that is significantly below team's average, especially when there aren't many attackers. As long as I'm helping guard the flag I'll play it my way. Why should I have to change my strategy just to be safe from voting?

I think this is really a nice idea. With this we can able to remove the one who sabotage and those who mult the game. I really look forward for this idea.

You mean, why should you change 1 particular strategy in a large map where you hide and make a small and insignificant contribution, just to be safe from voting, don't you?

 

Increased Quality of gameplay.

Fairer play.

Less cheating.

Less sabotage.

Less multing.

More Enjoyment.

Less Frustration.

Less player attrition.

It's clear to me now after your admission that you are an advocate of the very behaviour this suggestion is trying to remove so I'm no longer taking you seriously. I believe you are just trolling now.

This is like telling the bank night guard who stays up all night when there's actually no one trying to rob the bank he deserves to be fired because he's not "contributing". Maybe he should do some paperwork instead of sitting there all night drinking coffee and tea and doing "nothing"!

 

Look, the system may work fine in typical Polygon and Silence battles, but there are many scenarios, especially on large maps and/or long battles, where it would fail.

 

And again I say, contribution in CTF and CP modes can't be estimated based on scores alone. I rest my case.

Look, any player who doesn't press pause and just doesn't partake in the battle for whatever reason should be instantly removed. At the moment there is no difference between pressing pause and just not pressing pause, both are the same. So for that, if a player doesn't move his tank for a whole minute that tank should be sent out of the battle. Besides a 5 minute break for 15 minute battles doesn't make sense. This feature was implemented with long battles in mind, and is being abused.

 

Also because of shelving of the pipe-lined introduction of 'early battle finishes', if I'm in a battle with no opposing team as they have all left and there is 5 minutes or less to go and I don't plan to leave until the 5 minutes is up but neither do I plan to be present in the game, then in some form I would like to be able to have the option of an automatic exit while I'm doing something else or generally busy so I don't have to become a mult when the next battle starts.

 

Neither of the above points are connected to the main subject core of the thread. But I would think that if point 1 was taken seriously it would take the game a step further towards providing a fairer and more sporting game.

 

I really like the kick idea, though how it would be incorporated at this moment of time without other grey areas being looked into first is hard to see, as admin are not interested from what it seems. I would definitely like to see something like a more open version of private battles, where a team has a captain and perhaps he has to contribute crystals to various matches against similar captain led teams, and he has the power to kick players unlimitedly, and perhaps these games could be framed like a mini tournament of 8 teams over 15 minutes that consists of quarters semis and the final (alonside DM, TDM, CTF and CP), and with good rewards for the victors. Plus it could be done on the main servers open for everyone to join, perhaps an idea like this would root out the multers and provide players with greater incentive to play fairly and enjoy the game more.

yeah, never get that, why on earth would you join a battle with only players better then you?!!? you wil get slower score, bad DL and you dont have any chance for gold cuz you tank=slower+less hp

This is an interesting idea, but I think the best solution would simply be to improve the current /vote feature by allowing players to vote a player in his/her battle by clicking on his name and selecting the option "Vote" from the dropdown menu.
