Player's Moderation: Kick2

Recommended Posts

I down vote because there maybe players that use inappropriate hulls and turrets and are really trying but regardless of efforts no score is earned :(

And I do mind being label as one of those who team-kick hurts most -_-.

As mentioned before, trying is sometimes not enough. Try choosing battles better suited to you. It isn't fair to the rest of the team when your not really helping them. If they are your friends they won't vote you anyway. I do understand what you mean. I use shaft a lot. Sometimes my average P/M will be low but the 5 kills I made where 5 flags not captured. Many times your team mates will recognize this and not vote you out. If you still get kicked, oh well you weren't going to get many crystals anyway.  :)

ok, so if someone had 50 score after 1 min but was doing a decent amount of work then went on pause because they had to do something and after the first minute his team voted to kick him. if he came back on the 5th minute of pause time he'd only have one minute to get his points p/m back up which wouldn't be fair. The time limit should only work if they aren't on pause

That scenario has been mentioned already by me. I said in the original post, if you want a break, put a shift in first.

Nobody should be going for a break 1 minute into a game anyway but lets look at some numbers.

played 45 minutes and need a break, you score is currently 1310pts

this means your average is 29 pts

What will it be if you take a break for 4 minutes?

now played 49 mins, score 1310pts still, your average is = 27pts

Here is a better idea.....learn to play better :D

if you have a mult...you should play better.

1 person doesn't cause the downfall of a team, it is the whole team itself

In CP matches, especially in either Sandbox, Polygon, or Island... one player can make all the difference in winning or losing.

By gosh you're right! Scrap this whole suggestion - don't know what came over me!

WOW your just full of good ideas. I support this one as well.

  • Is there, some sort of notification that you have 5 minutes to improve your game?
  • If once you have voted can you change your mind and remove your vote?
  • What do think would be a fair number of votes against to get kicked? I think 60%. That is 6 out of 10.

I think if your playing for your team you have nothing to worry about. I only ever got kicked three times in 6 months under the old system. Your right I really had no business being in those battles anyway. They where way over may skill and equipment level.

Simply put Play and contribute to your team and your safe, don't and your out.  I like it.

Yep, yep and yep! Whatever we need to keep it as fair as possible.

um no, no it doesn't

So you are telling me that there is no lopsided advantage in a match if one side has 2 players and the other one has 1? (in a CP 2 vs 2 match)

2 on 2.....um n, there is never 2 on 2 cp...4 on 4 or more...2 on 2 would be power leveling basically

While I will agree some 2 vs 2 CP's are rare, I was merely using it as a example to represent the principle. That being, every player counts when there are very few of them in all.

Couldn't there be an auto kick system?

Suggest it and see how far you get.

I'd personally like to see one that kicks players that have not scored any points in the first 5 minutes of joining an auto-balanced battle.

What if your kill gets stolen everytime? And a mult in your team for atleast 5 minutes can ruin your whole battle already.

I bet you never played a decent drugwar.

The problem with the half vote, is that if there is a hacker and his score is better then everyone else, you need multiple people to vote.  Sometimes in battles, people don't know how to use chat or how to /vote people.  That is the only problem with the system.  Anyways, nice idea!

Yes, thanks for this. You will need multiple people to vote to kick another player. It has to be hard to kick someone, not easy. If it's' too easy it will get abused too often. If a hacker comes in and manages to beat his team-mates then this new team-kick won't work because he has fooled the system. We'd have to fall back to the trusty /vote and video reporting.

My other suggestion about Combating Rule Breakers could act as a deterrent.

If you're only contributing towards kills and not actually making them then your score will be low and so too your average. You'd be a target for the kick. Some would say quite rightly. Others would see you're contributing and working hard and leave you alone.  I know if I was not scoring, I'd probably leave willingly because I'd see myself as a nuisance rather than a help.

Instant dismissal could be an option but I'd rather be given a chance to improve before getting kicked.

Just answered. The concern about a player who is trying but not succeeding to score many points is a valid one. Hopefully, teammates will understand he's trying and he'll be left alone but some might not see it that way. If they're not scoring then maybe they're not in an appropriate battle for their choice of tank.

Noobs learning how to play is a good point. Do you think this suggestion should only be available above certain ranks?

Thanks for down vote before I could answer you.

What if the person is a noob and is trying to learn to play...  >>>> There are lots of more appropriate battles to learn in. If you're that much of a  hindrance to the team that they want to kick you, be courteous to them and leave.

Again if you choose to play in battles that are above your skill and/or equipment level, don't be surprised if you get kicked.  Once you receive a 5 minute warning you do have the option of pleading your case in chat. Maybe they will let you stay.

No system can be fool-proof, but we can minimize the damage done; in this case; increasing the effort of the saboteur. Which would in turn reduce saboteurs and make it hard for them. It's about increasing the pros, and reducing the cons, cons can't be kept at zero.

Well most of us do not like the "team kick" as people will still try to abuse it...
