Did you read the 1st page? What do think this topic is all about? By the way all the tanks is completely unnecessary.

As well as team kick, there could be an auto-kick. Don't score after 3 mins and you're out, never to return!

Oh you gave them a hint to what we are working on.  B)  Well at least one of them.

Nope. No returning to the old ways. I've simplified the front page. Give it a read.

I think that this is a fantastic way of doing it. Especially since sometimes there are those unskilled players who are somehow at the top of the table (probably after being there for ages), and the old kick system only allowed the few players higher in the scoreboard to vote them out.

Just letting you know the system has been adjusted to take the feedback into consideration. The first post has been completely redone to allow for better understanding. Please re-read the details. Maybe you can write an article about it.

Will the kick be instant?
No. A player who receives the required number of kick-votes will then get 5 minutes in which to improve. If at any time he finds himself in a state of safety in terms of Score or ppm then the kick-votes against him will be dropped.

Do we get a grace period when entering a battle?
Yes. You cannot vote or be voted for in the first 5 minutes of a battle.

I have a slight doubt regarding the above though, with 5 mins grace at joining battle and 5 mins in which to improve  from when the required number of votes is reached  that gives 10 mins of possible multing. Which doesn’t seem like a lot but in a highly competitive close game there could be a lot of damage done in that time. I think the 5 mins to improve from when  the required votes are met is adequate whether you have just joined or not. With that 10 mins to remove the guy with delayed removal and grace period and not voting for more than one at a time that means it would take 15 mins to remove a second mult who joined near same time as first or 20 mins for a third mult.Sounds like a lot of mults but it has happened to me lol.

Can I vote for more than one player at a time?

No going back to the old team-kick voting frenzies. Only one vote per player can be active at any one time. Only after a kick has been achieved or averted can voting recommence.

That was a problem with old system but I think your system is far superior to the old one so I don’t think it should make a difference voting for more than one at a time given how a successful kick is based on performance and not popularity.

AbsoluteZero and Canadian_Eh ,  Do not allow above comments in any way to cloud the total respect and appreciation I have for what ye guys are doing to make the game better for all. Stuff pops into my head and I just have to say it lol.

I hear what you're saying. The plan is to make it as fair as possible. Your scenario involves a player who enters a battle. The earliest time he can be kicked is 10mins, although in reality it will be longer because not everyone will vote at the earliest opportunity. But we have to err on the side of caution when designing this. If I removed the 5 mins when entering rule, then a new player could find he receives votes instantly. Also, players only get to activate one vote at any one time. If they abuse it, it could spoil voting for others.

There are other ideas knocking about that would compliment this idea but I'm not going to conflate the situation. Auto-kick has been mentioned to deal specifically with this scenario. The new team-kick is a solution to protect under-average players but can also be used to kick someone who is playing half-heartedly if the majority of your team are on-board.

If it was allowed, the moment the clock signals 15 mins to go, everyone would start voting for anyone considered 'unsafe'. It would be frenzy time again.

You've raised good points. It might be worth considering have 2 votes active at anyone time.

I'll think about them today but those were my initial thoughts.

Edit: I've added an option called System-Vote to the suggestion which now addresses some of your concerns.

I've given it some thought and given the way the this team-kick is structured, there is no reason why we can't have multiple votes. I was over-cautious perhaps. If mutliple votes actually occur then you're probably on a team full of mults so you're right. I've changed the front page. Thanks for this.

Let's assume that the team I have joined is using supplies all over the battle field. Wouldn't my score go below the average? That means they would just kick me instantly

Or let's say that I am battling since two hours but both teams can not win.. equal powers.. players go and players join.. not everybody stays so long. Let's say new players joined my team and started using supplies. Perhaps they are a clan. They keep using supplies one after another and at the end of three hours I find myself at the bottom of the team. But still made lots of points.

Let's say average score is 12.000 points but I have made 10.000 points. So I deserve to be kicked?

Your idea is nice but still it can be misused

Below average is ok. Badly below average is not. And no, nobody gets kicked instantly.

You won't be kicked if your score is 10k and the team average is 12k. Below average is okay. Badly below average is not.

You've not understood it. The way in which this is structured makes it extremely difficult to misuse and abuse. I've given it a lot of thought and it's balanced extremely well, protecting honest players while making the dishonest ones eligible to be kicked.

If you have a question or a specific scenario for me to check then ask away. I'm confident that this team-kick holds up to scrutiny.

I like where this is headed. I would add one more tiny detail.

  • once you have been "Kicked" by either system you are not allowed to rejoin that battle until it is over.

If they really wanted to get tough they could also use an IP filter to block any account from the "Kicked" computer from re-entering that battle.

I think we have got this to a very viable point, now how do we get the attention of the developers responsible for adding this feature?

System-Vote Kr6qOky.gif

Now added to this to the initial post in this topic as an optional extra. Would appreciate feedback.

I have had a chance to thoroughly read your new revised proposal, and all the posts of this topic. I like what I see. Lots of input from players concerns, and a more understandable/less confusing format. As such, with your introduction of this new "System-Vote" making "Auto-Vote" obsolete, I will direct those who visit my "Auto-Kick" post to this topic. Very good. And for those who still may have concerns of corruption. Doing nothing about this growing situation will only make matters worst. There is always room for improvements in the future, after the systems implementation. I say that the developers should give this proposal serious consideration. +1

"Yes! I agree. No getting back into game!" I think that if more players up vote this topic (if they agree), and post whether they like it's proposals or not, even in a word Yes, or No. it will draw more attention.

+1 to every ones efforts in making this a reality. We are all on the same page... :)

Thank-you

It was a little bumpy at first but know we are all on the "same page" as you said. Strength in numbers.

I think a poll at the top will help for this. I'll mention it to @AbsoluteZero.

No proposal was ever designed that was not without some dispute. :) Yes. A pole would be a very good idea.

why do only Shafts need to worry?

I'm guessing that most players with shaft just sit in one spot and stare at the aiming cross the whole time, waiting for a light hull to come up. Yes, it means that he is guarding a passage, but if he isn't getting any kills, then his strategy is ineffective for the team and he deserves to get a kick warning.

You get a 5 minute warning after you get voted for kick. During that time you can improve.

That sounds like a good alert for mults, telling them to do some action so that they don't get kicked.

Well pure mults would be taken care of within the first few minutes of joining, never to return. The warning is more like "play or leave" or if you prefer "help us or leave".
