That would be nice. I can't count how many times I have denied invites to matches with friends, since I was in another match and figured the invite was just to another regular match, when in reality they were rank-ups that I missed.  -_-

It would be good if we could add messages, that way we would be aware of which are rank-ups, and which are plain old regular matches.

In my case the new friend just wanted to do parkour since we were doing it in the New Year's map (I was using Mammoth at the time) but unfortunately I had no way to let him know I had no Pro Pass (since parkour is Pro Pass only now).

i was wondering that when i come online and most of my friends are already in a battle so at that time it becomes hard for me to communicate with them. The only option i get is to invite. but what if my friend is in a long battle and top scorer. he will reject my invite. and what if only 1 minute left in ending of a battle?

so my idea is to introduce chat command function like i just logged in Tanki and my friend Hazel-Rah is in a battle. and i would like to know how much time left to end the battle so i will simply type this in a server chat.

/w Hazel-Rah: hey want to play together. how much time left in ending of your battle?

Private messaging:

/w [playername] or /whisper [playername] - send a private message to a player

so Hazel will get my message in private while he is in battle and he will respond to me in the same way  :D

I think a private message tab must be introduced in the game.

Duplicate topic. Merged with "A small messaging system"

Like the idea, was about to post the same thing in a new topic before I saw this. Inter-battle chat system...amazing.

Sometimes a friend of mine invites me to their battle but either I am too busy playing another battle or I am not quick enough to hit the OK button. It would be nice to be able to tell your friends that you are now available and would like to join their battle.

You can tell them this by inviting them to something so they follow then you talk to them in the lobby.

That's is a very indirect way of doing this, what if your friend is in the middle of an intense battle so they can't just leave it?

Then you must wait for room and join them.

It will create major lag issues....

We are looking into making short messages based on current invite system. This way messages will be only predetermined, unfortunately.

When you invite a friend to a game, the only thing he will see is the game info and id there is a place available, but sometimes you need to say more, because most of the times they will reject your request because they think it is a lame game or a stupid parkour game, so I think they should make it available for us to send a small message, to let them know that we need them or we have a rank up party, it doesn't have to be long, 30 or 40 letter would be awesome and we could say "Come I need help" or "My rank up" or "lets play 1-1", small messages that could really make a difference on whether to reject or accept, I hope you guys could do this, I wished so many times that I could give them a message so they would come to my rank up or a game that we are losing badly and I need there help, but they always reject it, you would say "Use Skype or Facebook" then I would say "Are you going to leave your tank and go log in Skype or FB to tell them, and they even might be offline or will just ignore it because they are in a game". So I hope that you will implement this in the near future, also I think many players agree with me :)
