You might have inserted it in the "Create a new account" place not the log in one.

 I think you went to "Registration" for new account. When it says "The Nickname has been already taken", that mean you wanted to make a new account, and the name you wanted to use it has been already used. Try these steps, open the spoiler and check these image.
