I've seen a few Rail players quit the game to to the overuse of Prodigi paints in Major ranks. Seriously, MAJOR RANKS? PRODIGI?

This has to stahp.

In my opinion, They offer prodigi in almost every kit, its almost impossible NOT to get it if you buy kits. If I would buy the m2 medium kit, I'd be a first lieutenant running around with Prodigi, a paint that unlocks at Marshall, In my opinion, they should offer other paints in kits instead of prodigi because it's offered in Medium m2 kit, Heavy m3, and medium m3. I think that they should make it if a paints in one kit, it shouldn't be in another. Like if you buy the Medium m2 kit and get Emerald and Prodigi, Then you buy Heavy m3, you should get Taiga and Irbis or something like that, because you dont get two different prodigis.

Imagine a First Lieutenant running around with Mammoth M2 + Thunder M2 with Prodigi drugging nonstop turning your 50-13 CTF game into 50-70. Sounds very fun right?

Glad this is going away.

Glad this is going away.

It's a change of subject but I think it's not the paint that makes the accident but the hull / turret.

I explain.

An over-ranked paint could give you an extra - say  30% - of protection, that is a diminish of the shot's power by 30%. If this applies to an M2 or M3 hull, it's the hull that absorbs the shot and not the paint. If it were for an M1 hull, even a 30% wouldn't be that terrible.. I think.

Thus I wrote (somewhere, I don't recall where) that kits should have hulls and turrets normal according to rank and only paints somehow over-ranked.

Will he really give you the gold than? C'mon?

I want to point out a problem for you. You are looking at druggers as people who do not help you to have more fun in the game,

but as people who can help you to get more crystals in the end.

They are not going to, by the way, but this is also not what I want to point out.

I do not even say that you are doing something wrong!

You are totally right about looking for ways to get more crystals, but this thing is actually my failure as a game designer.

If I made you feel allright with playing this game to get some crystals rather than to have some fun, than I made a bad game for you.

Yes, this is a Free 2 Play game and there should be ways for our company to make money, but nobody plays games to pay money, isn 't it?

We play games to have fun, and pay some money to have more fun.

I know that many people in the gaming-industry do believe that the key to get a high revenue is to "balance out" frustrations that players experience. You know, when they put you as a player into an inconvenient position, and to be able to end your frustrations you should give a developer some money?

We as a company want to go into a different direction.

If you maximize profit by making a single user, paying money to fight his inconvenience, than you will get lots of money indeed.

But you will also run out of users eventually.

What is the point to keep playing anyways if the game does not do, what it should do for you?

Again, we play games to have fun, not to fight frustrations to fit into somebody 's business plan.

We want you guys to come back and play our game again and again. We can not achieve this goal by frustrating you!

Took some liberty to try to improve the original message: Hazel-Rah I hope you agree with it?

Really like the philosophy behind all this. Heading into the right direction IMO.

A good update is coming our way and Hazel-Rah thanks for sharing this information!

"Over addiciton" not "overenjoyment" . I was almost to leave, when I taught myself to control. But the fact still seems to prove that I'm still addicted to the game.

I used "overenjoyment" sarcastically, the real word is "overboredom". I might be wrong but I believe that having your high level gameplay being brainless and not engaging players by any means but lots of hours of the same Tug of War game played by overpowered, yet equal, superatlets (read as drugers) is kinda not the way it should be.

High level gameplay should ask you for better skill then average no supply battle with falling boxes, that is why it's called "high level gameplay". And it doesn't seem that this is the case in Drug War. Now tell me where it require more skill — a Drug War or an drugless XP battle?

A drugless battle would be the most-desired one, but the drug war would be the place where you're asked to have more than enough skill. But many people don't leave tanki, because they can't risk losing their dear friends. And by my word, never !

I see it as a more evil thing then you do, probably.

Using drugs (should really stop using this word) is fun! You can blow up anything in your way and bring victory to your team by mashing 234 and 15 occasionally. Then you buy more supplies to have more fun. And you do, for some time, but then everybody do the same thing.

Time pass, more players in every battle use drugs and you can't have that fun you initially had and paid for. Now you obliged to use your drugs, squeezing that little satisfaction you can by shooting at tank that do not want to participate at this drug fest.

In the end... as Linkin Park told us... it doesn't even matter anymore. You might play long drug war but it is not what you think it is. Boredom is sitting on your shoulders because you've let it slowly and unseenly get there. And when chance comes... you do not even care anymore.

Speaking about people who leaving the game.

Well, these 234 guys,  to be termed as "You-Know-Who's" are seemingly to become a major threat for the "Non-You-Know-Who's", who don't do "the thing". Boredom sets in after hours of blowing up stuff, it then becomes an habit, and then all of a sudden, a mysterious appears out of nowhere and uses his "Things" and it's the end game for you. These are the boring moments tanki is mistakenly showing to it's tankers at the present. Next time, if you were to hold a contest, I would hopefully say that you stop the giveaway of drugs [Ah, I used the forbidden word :P] and instead, work on crystals or mines, which invoke creativity and entertainment in players rather than sitting out there and giveing the "Things" away for free.

...I would hopefully say that you stop the giveaway of drugs and instead...

It was never intended to be that way. Some not-so-smart users pushed names of their mults into chat while chat was set on 'slow mode' and was not allowing to send message faster then once a minute. Nobody cared to read service message about being ignored, naturally. Then this not-so-smart users complaint that their mults didn't receive supplies they so much desired. Someone decided that it is better to just give everybody who bought the paints all supplies for free... what a delightful decision that was <_>

Let me continue.....

what a delightful decision that was.........Stupid

This lavish give-away has brought about terrible consequences in the gameplay. I would suggest that next time you think what the outcome be when a new event or bonus is to be enacted.

I can give you a long list of names who left the game already to spend their money somewhere else.

I have a longer list of people who actually stayed in the game..

Dude, I am sorry both Hazel-Rah and me didn 't directly understood you!

Also I am sorry that I am not a clairvoyant.

In that case I would have been able to react to your post that came after mine.

So I'm very, very sorry... :(

We got a better idea. So-called depended cooldowns, when using any supply add a little extra cooldown to every other supply, so you can't use them all at once.

This way players will have to plan their drugging, otherwise they won't be able to attack enemy with 3 main supplies turned on.

It will be introduced in september.

that's what we call " WONDERFUL! "

This reminds me of the time when Mammoth got re-balanced. Oh man, that was one of the most memorable experiences in my Tanki life. :D

I remember when I first got Mammoth when it was still extremely Overpowered, and on drugs?! I was pretty much unstoppable.

Then when the nerf came, I got disappointed. Got really annoyed that my once super-power Hull is now what it was SUPPOSED to be.

Now that I look back on it, it was wrong for me to complain about Mammoth's deserved nerf. It's still pretty good now. Lol.

And, in my opinion, this is exactly what is happening all over again. Except the "Mammoth" in this case, is drugs. The druggers are basically the dudes with Overpowered Mammoth, for those of you who remember, and it's exactly what Hazel-Rah explained. I was having the time of my life raiding battles and making enemies rage-quit with drugs/mammoth in CTF, but those guys got so pissed. :P

Pretty much the only way to counter it was Freeze, which at the time had an OUTRAGEOUS Freeze duration. And now that Freeze's freeze power/time got nerfed down to a more tolerable level, there was nothing to stop the druggers, really. Especially with the health kit.

I've saved up literally hundreds of each drugs, so you may as well call me a buyer since I drug 24/7, reason being EVERY battle is filled to the brim with drugs. So naturally, I drug back.

Comparing it with back then when drugs were scarcer in battle, I found those battles with less drugs MUCH more fun.

Not saying eliminate drugging by itself, but back then when drugs were more easily countered, and appeared less. Lol.

Back then I remember I could not only flip druggers, but stall them out with the powerful Freeze as well. (stall out time in CTF.)

Now it's a different story. :P

Glad these changes are making their way.

I think that the best way would be to keep only speed (by far the least dangerous) and replace the others with small amounts if xp or something like that.
