Let's discuss "Interviews with History"

Hello Issho,

I really appreciate you comming up with something like this!

I would like to give out a suggestion.

As you post every monday , giving  a ---VERY---- long gap to each interview, i wish the interview to be a lot bigger with more good questions such as their experiences before working in tanki. so roughly the questions should count about 10

I guess you are getting quite a lot of time to go on with interviews. When you get answers from the interview candidates, maybe you could edit them and lengthen them(7 days gap should be enough to edit it). making them looking like really an interview to go through at!

P.S : ignore my bad english

And after making it I would suggest that he get it reviewed 3-4 times and make it more interesting. Anyways, you're doing a great job at it.

In conclusion, I'd like to pardon me for the "wrong idea" I gave from my previous words: what I meant is that you easily and sistematically dislike official (and unofficial) posts (and topics) coming from the Administration (and from any Staff member) which you do not like.

Clever comeback :)

PS systematically*

5. Finally, as a suggestion of questions, what would be great is if the questions are more probing, For example, not just a question like "What is your favourite combination" but something like "Which combinations are your favourite, and why? What sort of gameplay do you normally get involved in, and what do you normally look for when you join a battle?" Also, OF COURSE, asking personal questions are brilliant for people to get an insight into people's lives. Personally, the interview with Shar0n didn't help me learn a bit about how he managed to balance his work in Tanki with his work outside. What does he do for a living? And then it gets interesting.

I like the suggestion regarding questions about gameplay, I'll try to answer those in my interview.

As for personal questions, not many people like to reveal much about themselves, so it should be a matter of choice. Issho made a good decision to focus on Tanki profile rather than a private one, imo.

These personal questions drive readers crazy, it helps a lot for the adult tankers, who find it hard to balance their life with their game. But many won't, and it's good-thinking of Issho to focus on their tanki life. :)

Well, it's a shame that the questions didn't really change - there was some good feedback given here (e.g. that given by @hogree). He gave a good number of points, some of which could have been both beneficial and easily implemented, but I can't see any evidence that they were used; consequently, the standard of the interview hasn't gone up by much. I understand that this is something extra you're doing, and I really appreciate the time you're spending on organising this, but I guess players did spend some time trying to give feedback. Maybe it would be fair to repay the time they spent by taking some of it into account? I guess it's because I personally think using feedback to improve at whatever we do can only be a positive thing, regardless of whether our work was meant to be serious or casual.

Criticism can always be a good thing if you use it to make your work stronger; that's why I always appreciate criticism as a staff member, and to me, it doesn't matter who says it and with what intention if I can at least gain a little from it. All criticism should be answered with a 'thank you' and a smile, but more importantly, it should be used where possible. But keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to reading the next interviews! :)

This is well wrote by Gold :)

I already know what I am going to write below will most likely be removed by a mod so i am going to screen pic it :D

Look, no one is perfect in this world. Some people on this game (you know who i am referring to) just like to ignore it. The only way the community will get better is by trying to help each other out. The one thing many people forget is that this is just a game as both Interviews have said at the end. (Very happy they said that at the end because some people 24/7  )  After reading both articles including people who wrote the newspaper with their interviews i begin to wonder......Constructive criticism, why do people not take it well?

It is a question that many must answer on their own but i have found that people like to hide their mistakes rather than fix them. If there is one thing i have learned in life it is that you must 'Learn from your mistakes.'

Now that leads me into a couple of things about the interview. 'The aim of this project is to share, with all the members of this great Community, information and histories of the historical - the oldest and still active - Staff members.' - Issho_Fugitora

Not gonna talk about the grammar there  I would like to discuss the questions:

Q: When did you start playing? How were your first months in the Game?- Historical

Q: How and when did you join the Staff? How was your climb up to your actual position?-Random??

Q: Which goals did you achieve as of now? Which one you still want to try to achieve? Which goals have you failed to achieve so far?-goals oh goodie.....here is another idea which goes well with this. what would you like to see in Tanki in the near future and what would you like the community to be like Edit: you spelt Achieve wrong

Q: Which is your best combination?- random info

Q: What is your preferred quote?- interesting.....could always ask. what type of hobbies do you like

Q: Do you have any advice for players?- usually a good question

Now only one question remains.  Do you see this as criticism or constructive criticism?

btw here is my favourite quote 'Learn from your mistakes.' because i usually do that. (also one of your questions has spelling errors)

Like me or hate me idc. All I am trying to do is help the community out in order to make the forums more fun as well as on game :)

Again, I do not see any information that struck me as being amazing, but it was a much better interview than the last. I liked the quote he included in the end, a bit of French for me :D. But anyway, like I said, nothing too intriguing - in fact, the questions we requested have not been asked. Nothing stops you from asking more questions during the week-long interval before their releases. And again, grammar is an issue - if you could just read over what you read before you submit it, that would be great.

What I am stressing here is that we did not learn much about the moderator apart from the facts he ranked up to Generalissimo in Kungur, does not speak Russian and has been a moderator for 1.5 years.

Much better. It's great to see that the criticism given here was listened to and taken into account, it's a very good interview which was more interesting than before. It's definitely appreciated; keep up the good work!

Issho you deserve a cookie. Probing Interview, Perfect Interviewee, Pretty Interesting tbh. Although I would have liked a little bit more on the "History-aspect" of the game, you've delivered the goods.
