Tankers, we have some seriously good news!

 

The developers of your favorite game Tanki Online are once again ready to face you on the battlefield. We are launching the second installment of the highly anticipated, and simply awesome tournament by the name of “The Battle of Rusty Barrels”.

 

This will be a 2 vs 2 competition. There will be two pairs of tankers fighting each other. As in the first Rusty Barrels, the tournament will be divided into several stages:

• Determine the strongest team of two from among the developers
• Collect the nicknames of all those who would like to face them
• Name the lucky tankers who will take part in the event, and start selling fan paints
• Hold the grand final and reward those who supported the right side

And now, some more details:

 

The first step is to hold a tournament among the developers to determine the strongest team of two. These will face 3 pairs of tankers, one from each of the 3 communities.

 

Twelve pairs of developers have entered the tournament:

 

 

The battles between the developers will be taking place from the 26th to the 29th of August.

• The group stage will be over on August 28
• The semifinals and the final battle will take place on August 29 at 5 pm UTC+0, and will be streamed live on our esports channel.

Once we know the names of the best two players inside AlternativaPlatform, we’ll use a special site to collect the nicknames of all those who would like to take part in the Battle of Rusty Barrels 2. Registration starts on 30 August at 8 am UTC+0, and will be open for 24 hours.

 

Attention! To take part you need to be at least a Third Lieutenant and have a valid email address linked to your account.

 

On September 3, we will hold a draw to select two lucky players from each community: English, Russian and German. Right after the names are announced, 2 paints will appear in the garage — “For Players” and “For Developers”. Each paint will cost 1000 crystals. The crystals spent on these paints will form the prize pool, which will then be split amongst those who picked the winner’s paint.

 

 

The grand final will take place on September 5, at 5 pm UTC+0. 2 best developers will face 3 tandems of players, from Russian, English and German communities, one after another. Results of these 3 battles will determine the winner — tankers or developers.

 

And of course make sure you watch the live stream for this battle as your presence may multiply the prize pool of the event, which will depend on the peak number of viewers. The more viewers there are, the bigger the multiplier.
