Supply: Decoy flag

Recommended Posts

This supply will generate a decoy flag for 30 seconds.  The flag can then be dropped normally but will disappear if anyone tries to pick it up.  This would add an interesting twist to gameplay without being overpowered.

- In capture the flag it would allow heavier tanks to try and draw fire from a flag holder or lure opposing tanks into the line of sight for snipers

- In deathmatches you can look cool in screenshots, it will be lulz

- This would benefit devs by having another "cheap" option come up frequently in the daily reports, similar to the way the speed supply is given more often than damage

- More likely to be used strategically.  A drugger spamming this would receive little benefit.

Nice little Idea, but what if many use it at the same time, this would effect both teams right? (The team who uses this can be confused upon deciding the real flag)

The way you put forward is amazing. But there should be small change in the decoy, so ctf wouldn't be that boring for tankers and it seems traceable.

It's a pretty good idea, but here should be a limit on the amount of decoy flags a team can use at the same time. Imagine going to a Dusseldorf CTF and finding a spot filled with 41 flags, LOL.

Another balancing factor, at least for close and mid-range players, is that you would still see game notifications for the person who picks up or drops a flag.

Dude don't say "lulz" xD go google translate it from dutch to en without z

LOL!  I never knew that!

Also, I translated "Lel," the term I usually use, and Google Translate says it means "Discovered" in Hungarian.

Mmm. It would work great, especially when both teams have each other's flags. In the midst of the confusion with all the messages of dropped flags and picked up flags, it would be pretty clever, and mischievous to use a FAKE flag to trick people.

Personally I think it's a fun, and hilarious idea. Though I'm not sure if it is something that should be implemented in-game or not. :P
