I never said smoky is bad. It is really good in TDM. But, in CTF you always get kill stolen. As for the video, he is using an m3 smoky. At m1, it takes 4 hits just to kill a wasp.

Correction.That's M2.If you always get kill stolen then take out the weak tanks.Simple.

But it takes a long time to even kill the weak tanks. And when you play against higher level people, smoky is not as effective as the other m1 guns. Plus, in CTF, when you are going for the flag you can never kill the people defending it and when you are defending it, you can never kill the person taking the flag.

Smoky is not for attack! Its for sniping and midfielding.

I usually snipe but the thing with smoky is that at farther range it decreases damage, so the the already low damage decreases even further and again LOW DAMAGE.

Again.Smoky damage will not decrease on a long range.Smoky lost it's power on higher ranks until you get it M2.If you don't like it then don't use it.End of discussion.

Again Rail is for sniping. Thunder m1 is good except splash damage. Thunder m2 and m3 doesnt make a difference it is almost the same.

Smoky or Thunder?

 

Smoky M2 is almost the same as Smoky M3 (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So it has decent range and no damage loss at a longer range.Fast reload,enable to knock enemies out of their aim.More expensive than Thunder.Not a lot of smoky protection paints.Can't take on multiple enemies.Critical shots rarely happen on M0-M1.Early unlocked.

 

Thunder M2 is also almost the same as Thunder M3.Damage decreases a lot at a longer range.Slow reload,also enable to knock enemies out of their aim.Less expensive than Smoky.A lot of Thunder protection paints.Can take on multiple enemies (Splash Damage) Late unlocked.

Wasp or Hornet?

 

Wasp is not stable and an flip easily with high recoil weapons.Too fast to control.Expensive than Hornet.Early unlocked on lower ranks.Good for CTF matches and on big maps.Hard to master.M2 wasp is better than M2 hornet.Enable to dodge railguns and other weapons. (Personal experience,I've never tried using wasp on the main server) Bad for gravity-like maps.

 

Hornet is stable enough.Less expensive than wasp.Unlocked fairly early.Good for CTF matches.Easy to master.Slightly slow when when turning.Decent on gravity-like maps.(Personal experience,It does great to be honest on big maps but M2 wasp in my opinion is better than hornet)

Now this is bothering me...look at the difference between M1 viking and M1 dictator ._. Almost the same health but dictator has more speed.

 

Dictator is more expensive than viking and it's unlocked late.But it has good stats! Dictator is not so common.Good with railgun as it has more speed than viking.Nothing else to say...

 

Viking is less expensive than dictator and it's unlocked early.It has decent stats and it OK-ish with railgun...

Not true. I try out Smoky M0 on my Wasp M1 just for fun because I really like using it. I used it in Bobruisk- playing with Lieutenants-Captains and I got two criticals on a drugging M1 Hornet in 3 shots. Then I killed a drugging mammoth M1 and Twins M1 with three criticals fireed in 5 shots. Is it just me or is Smoky's critical more than 5%? :o That's why I want to buy it, but I'm not sure. Will Smoky M1 benefit me in my Captain-Colonel ranks? And Smokies don't get kill-stolen that much. They fire rapidly and the Criticals are more like snipe shots. Lol.

1. If you're a Non-buyer, which I'm guessing you are, buy Viking.

 

2. If you like to bet your chances on Smoky's critical, then Smoky. If you want to be safe and produce steady solid hits (Not to mention learn how to use Splash-damage), then go with Thunder. However, keep in mind that Smoky benefits at range while Thunder is meant for medium-small maps.

 

3. The best thing would be to top it at M3, get Micro-upgrades, then focus on something else so you get the maximum effect of the gun.

 

4. Yes, because if you don't know how to use Wasp then you'll suck at it and lose horribly- not to mention not have fun while playing Tanki, which is a game. Games are meant to be fun, not uncomfortable.

 

5. I like Wasp. Period. It's so unbalanced I love it. :lol: I flip so many times and land upright, get into small spaces, run away, strategize, basically everything. I scour the maps. :ph34r: Yes, I do quite well with it- because I find it comfortable to play with and like using it. ;)

You should get M1 thunder.(personal opinion) Of course thunder is better for attack because of its reload. Sniping it is railgun but for example Silence blue team u can snipe with thunder also. But rail is better. Defence well Thunder bcuz Thunder and Mammoth in defence is quiet hard to beat. U should get thunder m1. Two disadvantages of thunder:

Splash damage

M2 and M3 doesnt make a diffence.It is almost the same.

1. Railgun for sniping is a given.

 

2. For attacking? In a Solo attack you'd probably need a Thunder to hold off multiple enemies- especially with 2X Power you'll be dishing out 100 damage per shot basically. In a group, Railgun can be good. For Railgun you can shoot the person who would trouble your teammates most such as a Freeze.

 

3. Defending? That is given on how you play. If you stand your ground then Thunder. If you run around like me keeping an eye on the whole field, then possibly railgun.

 

I'd say buy the one you find you play with best- that way you'll draw out the gun's full potential and be able to benefit a team or yourself very well in battle. Have fun, don't just get a gun cause it's strong. Strength is nothin' if you don't have the wits to use it.

Viking M2 or Dictator M2?

I'm guessing that you're a Non-buyer, so you'll probably want Viking M2. Why?

 

1. Lets take a look at M2 versions. ~Hold on I have to log into Tanki servers again to check le stats, but I do know that M2 version: Viking is better~ At M2, Viking is clearly superior to its counterpart Dictator. The M2 version of Dictator only has 191 Armor-points and 6.1 speed while Viking M2 has a whopping 220 armor-points accompanied by a good solid 6.0 speed. The Viking surpasses the Dictator by 29 armor in exchange for .1 speed, which is worth it if you'd ask me.

 

Then again, you could say that you could look long-term and see that at M3, Dictator has better attributes than Viking. This is true, but you have to acknowledge the fact that the Dictator M3 is unlocked at Generalissimo, and I'm pretty sure that you'll round up much more crystals than 304,800 (81,800 [M2] + 223,000 [M3]) by the time you get to Generalissimo- not to mention your other M3 Equipment. When you get to Generalissimo or close to that rank, then you can start saving/spending crystals on Dictator. because right now getting it will only slow you down.

 

- Reason I say to get Viking M2 if you're a non-buyer is because if you buy Crystals then not only can you play on your Dictator M2 because I'm guessing you've wanted to use it at an M2 status, but if you don't like using it or it will slow you down is the higher ranks then you can just buy something else and play with that as your primary combination.

Oh yes, I've wanted to ask something. Is M1 Wasp+ M1 Smoky still a good combination at say, Major-Colonel ranks? If so, then I'd probably get Smoky M1 and buy a good paint with my left over Crystals. . . I like using Smoky. :D :lol: Even at M0, so many Criticals. :blink: I was playing with Generalissimos and Brigadiers in Silence II today and kept launching Criticals on drugging Mammoths. :lol: First they didn't care for me, but when I launched two criticals on the same Mammoth, he turned around and killed me. I caught the attention of a drugging Twins M3 and Mammoth M3 Generalissimo. I'm so proud of myself. :wub:

To answer a few q's. Wasp is epic. Smoky is epic. Dictatator is a bad choice to get unless you are already at gen rank. Viking, hornet and wasp is good with rail. Smoky gets better at m2 compared with thunder

^ Smoky m1 wont really last you into the Major ranks.... Too weak. Well it will last you, just you wont get many kills. M2 smoky is where it all gets started. Rail m2 is better than smoky m2 but smoky is unlocked to late.

Look like the new graphics are going to be epic :D but slightly confusing
