Hello!

I will level up to Warrant Officer 1 before Tanki 2.0 (Sergeant-major now).

I was wondering if you can get a better ratio with M2 Railgun or M0 Thunder on a M0 Viking.

Right now my ratio is 2.25 and I have M3 Titan with M3 Smoky.

My wealth is about 2050 so i only need 100 more for M2 Railgun.

Right now I'm leaning towards Railgun and getting Thunder with my Warrant Officer 3.

First always refer here when deciding on upgrades. The statistics are laid out for you to easily reference.

 

If you can afford an M2 Rail, I am pretty sure you are not far from affording an M1 Thunder (roughly a 500 crystal difference if I am correct). M2 rail has OHKO kill power at lower levels but if are shooting at dictators, vikings, M0 / M1 hornets with rail resistant paint like safari or even fully upgraded hunters you are not killing anything if you are the first shot.

 

For example I am currently driving a M1 Hornet with Safari, and M3 rails rarely cut me down. It is usually the second shot from another attacker that takes me out.

 

Truly it is all a matter of preference though.

 

I personally like thunder because if you group up with a couple of rails, you can KS them after they take the first shot on a target. With Thunder at M1 you can almost get off two shots (3.16+3.16 = 7.32) prior to the M2 Rail gun reloading and charging (6.0+1.1= 7.2/secs). Add in aim time as most railers use cover for survival unless they are in a covered sniping spot, and it usually exceeds 7.32. Add in the splash damage of the Thunder for potential multi-kills with one shot and it makes a good weapon for me.

 

If you like making a OHKO (One Hit Knock Out) shot and feel like M3 Rail is easier to reach than say a M2 Thunder then go for it.

 

If you like the idea of getting a "Tier 2" weapon and using it for the long haul, then go Thunder.

 

I would recommend though, that if you have enough cash to purchase Thunder now, and play with it for a little bit to see if you like it, then do it. Nothing beats testing in a live environment and you have no risk as your money comes back to you in 2.0.

at the ranks u and i are at, in a ctf, a hornet is a potential gamechanger. and it has more life than ur m0 dictator has, not that little.

First buy Twins M3, its good weapon for warrants, and higher.

After the twins, buy viking. As for me, twins 3 are better then thunder m0-m1. So, make your choice :-)

i love it, and i've been getting 2.0+ ratios in almost every match...it ALWAYS beats m3 twins for some reason, even though on paper, they have almost the same stats, and twins is a little bit better, but ricochet always wins XD

Most people with Thunder and Viking doesn't camp around as much as people with Railguns. My friend uses M1 Thunder and M1 Viking and he is always moving. I don't think camping with a Railgun is a such good a idea because the Railgun homes you.

I've using M3 Twins and I owned Ricochet in 70% of my battles. You just gotta go in the right map to own Ricochets. :!:

im getting ~1.6 ratio with thunder, also it depends on your team/enemys skills (TDM). and i allways beat railgun :D 3 shot and they are dead while they make only 1 shot (half of my HP).

im using thunder and im not camper. ofc, sometimes you stay in a good place when you know that enemys are allways going from the gate (for e.g.).

well i got called camper all the time, but in my eyes it is supporting the team. i clean the way for other members with the flag and protect our flag. i only go for the flag if i see a very good opening. so my k/d ratio is 2.21 atm in HoF.
