What to buy? What to use?

It would seem that Tankmen would use only 1 hull and 1 gun (like their Garage storage held only these options). Can´t be the reality, right?

I like large maps, for examle Kungur, Serpuhov, Bobruisk etc, Therefore in 80% of battles I use Shaft with Mammoth (Railgun..?). I´m a Sniper by heart. Isidas loyally heal me when low on hp.

Entering a fight with no idea of the equipm. of my team/enemy team I may rush back&forth Garage in a flash and pick Wasp/ Isida, Twins, Smokey, Thunder for closer encounters.

What I´m trying to say that I change the whole package easily many times before my Tank is tailored to the situation right there and then. After 1-2 changes I assume my role 100%.

Do people try to keep up one combo throughout a campaign even if they get their asses kicked all too often? (then again I don´t know if I lose XP when I swift like a chameleon?)

Plz tell me!

My gear:

Wasp, Hunter, Titan, Viking, Mammoth and

Smokey, Thunder, Twins, Railgun, Schaft

At the start of Tanki it's easy to switch guns and hulls. But later on, you'll have to focus on only 1/2 combo's. I'm not saying you should do that, but it's hard to

have 2 good combo's on a still pretty low rank. It might be easier to first focus on 1 combo, and if you have that M2-M2/M3-M2/M2-M3 (high), you can start getting other

combo's

Rail/mammy or vik

Railgun is a gun which suits many hulls, but it's a sniper gun, but one that needs speed, not a massive hull to catch the bullets. In my opinion, Hornet is the

best hull for Railgun, but in your question: Viking is better, it's lower, smaller, faster but still strong enough to handle a few shots.

I shaft even worth it?

I have M1 shaft. It's great for some maps, particularly maps where there are few entrances to a base. If you're on the blue team in Silence, and you're in a game with M0-M1s and the occasional M2 isida/freeze/hornets, it's awesome because few people have good paints at lower ranks. Also at low ranks, you can 1hit or 1hit+noscopeshot all other enemies. At higher ranks, majority of people say that it sucks though. I think they say this because there are alot of paints with shaft protection, along with people using more heavily armored hulls. Shaft is a situational weapon. If you're in the right place on the right team, you can easily achieve 1st or 2nd place in games with great K/D ratios. Just the other day I saw a shaft in Silence on the blue team with a K/D of 109.00. Yes - 109kills 1 death. This was because his team was winning though, and so he could easily position himself to shoot anyone spawning at the red team's base and 1hit kill them.

I love my shaft when paired with my Wasp m1. It's even good on smaller maps sometimes, it's just about your positioning really. Also you want to make sure that with whatever weapon you're using, that you're never just doing 'nothing.' You should always be dealing damage or capping flags if you want any top 3 position on a scoreboard. Shafts in my experience are always best used in maps with alot of players in CTF battles. This is because you have so many teammates and they can hold the attention of the enemy team so that you can sit in the back picking them off one by one. Another benefit with the shaft is that in lower ranked matches, a fully charged shot is a gaurenteed kill meaning that Isida's cannot heal the person you just shot, unlike every other weapon. It's also a great weapon for kill stealing. (kill securing) This is because you're zoomed in on your target. If you know you can't one hit them, then you can simply wait until someone shoots them once with any weapon. Then you know your fully charged M1 shaft dealing 150 dmg will get you a kill for sure.

Edit: Nowadays it's nearly impossible to make it into the top 3 positions on the scoreboard without using drugs... specifically in bigger games and higher ranked battles... :/ It sucks. Especially now because unless you're a buyer, or don't care about any future upgrades, if you drug, you basically lose crystals in the end. If you earn 500 crystals at the end of the game.. thats 7drugs + 1 health pack. And you're going up against a team where 4/10 of the enemies are on full drugs the entire match coming at you invading your base and stealing your flag.

So... shaft is nice esp if you can stay away from the main action with the druggers and pick them off as they come :) 150-200dmg on a drugger actually makes a difference with their 2xarmor.

Need a new paint, for Hornet M2, Rail M2(v. soon). Would like a paint that protects against these (Shaft, Smoky, Railgun, Thunder) I don't think there is one for ALL of them, anyone got any good advice?

For later: Picasso. It's against Railgun 25%, Thunder 20%, Freeze 20%, Shaft 30% protection. Only Smoky excluded...

For more for now, you could take something like Digital(13% Smoky, 35% Railgun, 10% Shaft) Or Corrossion(10% Railgun, 15% Thunder, 15% Shaft)

railgun or freeze i play CTF mode (capture the flag) what gun is best

it would be easier to PM me rather than reply to this topic thanks

Sorry, but i'll reply here. It's very depending on what maps you play. In smaller/medium maps I would take Freeze,

but if you play bigger maps mostly take Railgun. I play big maps and use Railgun, because i'm a mid-fielder. If you're a defender

take a strong, but not too slow hull with Freeze, mid-fielder: (small) a hull with some speed with Railgun, and for attack: Big maps railgun, small maps freeze.

Freeze can also be used in big maps, it's very strong against all the slow shooting guns. (railgun, shaft)

Is a wasp with railgun good? Or a mammoth and thunder? I want to go fast, but cause lots of damage. Any suggestions?

You could consider a hornet + railgun combo. You'll have speed, and can deal considerable damage per shot.

yes, wasp and rail is very viable. However, would only use it if you get m2 wasp as m1 wasp is just too easy to kill. Wasp is just better at manoeuvring than the hornet and is also quicker, all this for 30 less hp is worth it especially when both of them can get taken out by railguns and shafts quite easily
