Titan is just something like a mistake. It's not worth it. It has less armor than Mammoth, but it doesn't give much speed for that lost armour.

Sorry, but i'll reply here. It's very depending on what maps you play. In smaller/medium maps I would take Freeze,

but if you play bigger maps mostly take Railgun. I play big maps and use Railgun, because i'm a mid-fielder. If you're a defender

take a strong, but not too slow hull with Freeze, mid-fielder: (small) a hull with some speed with Railgun, and for attack: Big maps railgun, small maps freeze.

Freeze can also be used in big maps, it's very strong against all the slow shooting guns. (railgun, shaft)

I don't find Silence (II) a big map. It's a medium map, I don't like to play Silence with Railgun, if you play Silence, take Freeze, serious..

Also, is smoky+mammoth good at higher ranks as well? or is it outclassed by thunder+mammoth / smoky + hornet?

Smoky/Mammoth is a great combo at your rank and at mine, and from what i'm hearing Smoky is even better at higher ranks. I'm not good at giving advice about paints, but if i were you i wouldn't worry too much about paints too soon since crystals are now hard to get, try to focus on items, but if you need one go for a cheapish one like Mary or something.

Hunter or Viking? (m1/m2 specifically.. since i think i'll never reach m3 ranks)

I currently own the following m1's:wasp, mammoth - isida smoky freeze shaft

I am considering purchasing thunder possibly in the future..... but I really dont want to... it would be because it seems like every single person who makes it into the top placings in EVERY game so happens to be a viking+thunder or mammoth+thunder using m1/m2 upgrades >_> it really sucks being an m1 wasp and being 1-2 hit by them. whats worse is that alot of them drug.

So with thunder... and my other weapons, which hull would be better once again, viking or hunter? I play in all sized maps and enjoy short+long range weapons as you can see by my inventory lol.

viking's m2 upgrade is 120k xp later, and during those times i plan to purchase m2 mammoth and m2 wasp, so i think the timing isnt so good. plus at m1, hunter only loses 14 hp for a whole 1.0 speed faster. yes.... m2 viking's 220hp is impressive... but is there something i dont know about? I mean stability, which hull is more stable when being fired upon? If i'm using shaft, and a thunder or smoky is shooting at me while im trying to scope them, will my aimer move around less if im in a viking as opposed to a hunter?

 

I need a more thought out answer than 'viking' lol ._.

Hornet + rail might be the best choice, unless you are good at close-range battles.

M2 Firebird. Nearly no one has protection against it, and you will let all the M2 Isida's who try to kill you burn to death,

even if they killed you...

You should get m2 firebird if you got it in the sale, m1 fire bird. It does decent damage and m2 firebird's burn effect is much more annoying as it lasts longer

If not, just stick with isida if you're more of a team player and it's also the cheapest gun to upgrade to m3
