Yo Tankers, the time has come to announce the results of this contest. It was actually quite hard to pick the finalists, and I had to settle for 2 second places and 2 third places, although first place was quite obvious from the moment I started readting it. So here they are:

First place: 20 000

Hotel Tanki Online [Eagles - Hotel California]

On a dark weekend evening,
Sat down in my chair.
Sharp smell of stale soda,
Permeating the air.
Near the top of the webpage,
There came a flickering light.
My head was heavy, and my sight grew dim;
I had to stop for the night.

There I was on the home page,
I didn't sleep so well,
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell!"
I clicked on a button,
And it showed me the way.
There were tankers on the battlefield;
I thought I heard them say:

Welcome to the Hotel Tanki Online,
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place),
Such a lovely face...
Battles abound at the Hotel Tanki Online,
Any time of year,
You can find us here...

The ranks seem confusingly twisted,
they seem to never end,
There are a lot of drugging, buying, kitting players,
That it calls friends.
As they fight in the battles,
All of them sweat;
Some fight to remember,
Some fight to forget.

So I called up a chat mod,
"Have I been banned?" And he said:
"You've had a clean record here, so you're still free in this land."
And still those tankers are calling
From far away,
Wake you up in the middle of a fight,
Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel Tanki Online
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place),
What a lovely face...
They're fighting it out at the Hotel Tanki Online,
Things that you can do (things that you can do)—
Collect crystals too—

Burning Hornets reeling,
The frozen Wasps in ice,
And they said, "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device."
And in the many tournies,
The casualties increase;
They battle for their very lives,
But they just can't kill the beast.
Last thing I remember,
I was running for the door,
I had to find the passage back to the life I had before.
"Relax," said the chat mod,
"We are programmed to receive. You can log out any time you like,
But you can never leave."
