Tanki Online destroying laptops?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I've had 2 Laptops, the only game i played with them Was Tanki Online.

My laptops started to slow and and Proccessors did not work correctly.

Later, both computer Processors was completely destroyed in 2 months. ( Not broken, they did not just work anymore )

Currently i use Desk Computer, i have played Tanki with it 2 years, and nothing is happened YET.

I am not being offensive, but this is not good thing.

Anyone have had the same problem?

Anyone can suggest what can cause this?

And i am going to Buy a new Processor, but im afraid to play tanki with it.

Thanks :)

Laptops can overheat much faster than desktops. It's just the way they're built. The heat from the graphics card (the graphics card is worked hard to display Tanki) is what probably damaged the laptops. What processor did they have?

most laptop cpu are many time weaker than the desktop counterpart. an i7 4770 for desktop have 4 cores and 8 threads, and counts billions of transistors. the laptop counterpart have 2-4 cores and usually no hiperthread(whit hiperthead a core can work as 2). they have way less transistor(brute force), way less cache(slower loadings) Way less clock speed and waaaaay less voltage, so they run slower but generate less heat. Also, while pc can have big dedicated GPU whit big heatsinks and many fans, the laptop gpus are Waaaaay less powerful and many of them dont even have a dedicated one. so you play whit the integrated gpu. by the way, whit intel HD4000(the serie4 intel integrated gpu) tanki goes at 25 FPS whit all graphics settings to the max, atleast on my desktop when i disable the dedicated gpu. on laptop you have to disable heavier options like dinamic shadows and such.

if you want a good desktop to play tanki, search a pc whit atlest

CPU : Core i3 series 3xxx( or an i5-i7)  Or an amd FX6300 (or up)

GPU :if intel dedicated is enough, if amd get atlest a R7 250x 1GB / Nvidia GTX 750 1GB. dont buy crappier ones or older series ones. Avoid gt 3xx and such.

Sounds like it overheated.  Just a guess without knowing the model number or the cpu temp at the time.  Was it a mac by any chance?  Flash tends to use a lot more resources on those.

Yes laptops have heating issues. Which actually makes it more slower the more we use. And apart from this. There are a lot of viruses like if you are downloading music, movies etc. Make sure you download from trusted sites.

I've been using my laptop for a very very long time. I've been playing loads of games on it, including TO.

My Laptop works fine, in fact, I take real good care of it to avoid losses in the future. Maybe you hadn't kept an eye on your laptops, and maybe you went a little big irresponsible(no offense), and that ended up bad.

If you did keep a good eye on it, then there might be in your laptop's specifications. Maybe they weren't meant for games, for professional use.

yeah, laptops and computer in general need to get care. you should clean the inside from dust, and maybe change thermal paste to prevent overheating.
