My suggestion has to do with better finding the right map for your  rank. As the list of maps is displayed, post next to the name of the map or number of players the maximum rank icon, so that we know where it might be too difficult or dangerous to go if our rank is too low to have a chance with the stronger guys.

I had an idea to just have a battle searcher with rank limits, game mode, pro battle or not and duration of the game

I want to suggest an update who give us the advantage of beeing able to search a battle for mission easier for example:

 

Earn 1000 XP in Kungur.

reward 1725 x crystals

Maybe less of a search option and more of a drop down menu?

 

Currently you can select DM, TDM, CTF and CP in the boxes below the battles. Maybe next to it could be two drop down menus. One would be maps (select Kungur, Rio, Camp, etc...) and the other would be servers (EN1, RU7, All Servers, etc...).

I propose adding a new filter to the bottom of the Current Battles list.  This new filter should SHOW/HIDE full battles from the list.  This filter button will allow players to see only battles which can be joined immediately, hiding battles which are already at capacity from view.  The button should be located on the lower right, keeping it separate from the existing filter buttons for game modes.  This filter button should have a full square or an X as its icon.

 

I further propose adding sort options to the TOP of the Current Battles list.  These buttons have no SHOW/HIDE function.  Instead these buttons allow the displayed battle list to be sorted as follows:

  Sort by Maximum Rank allowed in battle

  Sort by Minimum Rank allowed in battle

  Sort by Time Remaining in battle

  Sort by Map (currently the default sort criteria)

  Sort by Mode (different from show/hide by Mode as this sorts the list by mode)

  Sort by Total Number of Player in Battle

  Sort by Total Number of Players on a Team

 

These options will make is easier for players to find the battles they seek and furthermore need in order to complete missions.

A lot of times I have ended up scrolling through multiple servers looking for that one Scope CP or Subway DM, and it takes a lot of time. I've all but given up on scrolling through servers to search for battles simply because it takes too long. I think that's also why so many people frequent the EN 5 server, because that seems to be where the greatest number of players and battles are.

 

So here's my idea:

 

-A searching system that allows you to search for battles.

 

-That system would allow players to search for hard-to-find maps without having to spend playing time scrolling through the 20 or so Tanki Servers.

 

-The search system would allow players to sort games by map, time, and mode. There would be an option to leave out battles that are full, and each battle info window would now also have the server where the battle is happening.

Why?

 

Bad luck..... "I'm making a map and no one joins.....", "i wish people would find my map." "I cant find maps I'm looking for......"

 

 

Because I'm picky, I got favorite maps I want to play, and its hard to find the right map trough all servers.

 

Because I need a certain amount of exp in one Map for my daily mission!

 

Because I'm picky and want to pick the best available map for my needs with one map name.(... or the other name).

I think it would be very convenient, so someone probably already asked for this.

 

Anyway, sometimes, you have to complete a mission in a specific map. Right now, I have a mission in Forest. I saw only one map in RU3, and it was DM, I would prefer CP.

 

But that's not my point.

 

I'm talking about a map filter. When you search for a specific map, instead of going to RU1, RU2, RU3, RU4, EN2... to check if there is that map, you would use some kind of menu, with all the map (basically a menu similar of the menu when you create a map). If you select one map, here Forest, it would be possible to see all the current Forest and it would look like this :

 

Forest CP 8/8 15 min (RU5)

Forest TMD 6/6 30 min (EN4)

Forest CTF 8/8 60 min (RU21)

 

And so on. All clickable, so you can jump from the server you are to the server of the map and join if there's a free spot.

Hey guys!

Many of players really like some, and dislike some other map types,

or simply we are looking for some maps matching our style, tank or friends waiting there.

...or we have a daily mission with one map.

So you guys could add a map filter bar in the middle section with battles.

 

Filtering is already there for the battle types, so to extend it to the maps would be

an easy and really useful addition.

 

Also there is enough space for a vertical bar with every map name

(with a scrollbar maybe if not enough space to show all)

with an option to check and uncheck to show or not show battles with this map.

 

At the bottom there could be two buttuns to show all and show none.

As default it could show all or remembering last setting.

 

Also the active daily mission map(s) could be highlighted to find even more easily for filtering.

 

So here it is, try if you like the idea.. :)

You all now how annoying it can be to find battles with tankers of your rank, correct? For me, these days there's always people too high or too low in the servers I am given. I'm a decently skilled tanker, but when it comes to fighting colonels, things get pretty bad very quickly. When it comes to lower ranked players like Master Sargent, I get accused of being a hacker. I use viking M1 and Shaft M1. My Viking is 12/50 for micro upgrades and my shaft is 21/50, and is powerful enough to one shot M0 hornets/wasps without double damage even if they have double armor if their tank is weak enough.

 

So my thought is the admin should make a search engine for battles. You'd put in simple information, like the battle mode and a range of ranks said battles may have, say from recruit to warrant officer 1 for CTF games. The engine would search any possible CTF games with players that have the ranks within the given parameters on any map, thus making finding good battles far easier. I can't possible tell you how long I find myself searching for battles that are compatible for me.

 

I literally just thought of this, but I can only guess it's been mentioned before, but I seriously think this would give players less time searching and more time blowing up the enemy tanks. It's really simple too! Just put in the game mode you want, and a given set of ranks, and it will search all possible games that you can enter. It will significantly decrease the time it takes to find the battles you want, and give you more time playing!

 

On a side note, I only use my Viking and Shaft, but I hardly ever camp or drug. I'm out in the battlefield and getting me a decent 3.36 k/d. Not much, but for being a shaft on the move it can be quite impressive. If I were the usual drugging camper, heh...times it by two and you got the normal k/d for shafters XD

A new update for Tanki Online to make finding the perfect battle easier.

Every tanker has the urge to find a specific type of game mode they like, but it takes a while and when you do find it, It's mostly to be full or has not been made yet.

So a new update called Battle Filters which will allow a tanker to find the specific game mode faster, of course we already have one, but it's not enough all you have to choose from is the game mode. But Wouldn't it be better if you could filter the battle for how long they are, the specific ranks, pro battle only, and so much more to help the tanker find the exact battle to let him play on.

Not really necessary. If you want to play in one battle that you can't find, just create it by yourself and invite friends. Or wait for someone to join. That's what I do.

I think back in 2014 we had battle names that could be specified by the user.. like "awesome gold rain battle!!!" or something. I cant remember, anymore where the map name was given.

Exactly. But more importantly, KNELSEN4 was asking for a map name search because there was no alphabetical order.
