Chelsea or Manchester United?

Manchester United... That's where I live, so yeah.

Could you refer us some of your so called "Complex" books ?

There's no particular selection of 'complex' books, you know your reading abilities are good if you can read something longer than 500 pages in length and enjoy doing so.

Oh wait, this is to do with earthquakes... It's where the ground can be 'liquefied' when there's a lot of stress placed on it. And I remember reading this term elsewhere, though I can't pinpoint where...

Yeah, you're right. I didn't read about this. I heard this term in the movie 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' and I looked it up since it sounded interesting.

Ooh, I have a hunch about this one... I'm a fan of the series, and I think the second word is slang used to describe someone in one of the books. Not sure if I want to guess and embarass myself if it's wrong, though...

*Facepalm*, you're a fan of the series and you don't remember it? The first one is used in the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. You're right about the second one. It is used by the dauntless in the Divergent series by Veronica Roth.

Do you have any tips for the story contest in the newspaper? I mean, I got a basic idea in my head, but due to the 500 word limit, the middle section of the story sounds more interesting than the intro. And the concept is too good to be abandoned in my opinion.

Ask Me Anything!

~~~
Welcome, forum user. Here, you can ask me anything you want! I will answer all questions, except those which violate the Game Rules or the Off-Topic Section Rules. I also reserve the right not to answer a question, though I would only make use of that right if I think there's a good reason to do so.
What's the purpose of this topic?
Well, if you have any question on your mind, just ask it here. It could be game-related, community-related, asking for advice or tips, or something completely off-topic (as this forum section is called) - questions on any subject are welcome! And no, your questions don't have to be serious - but don't expect a serious answer if so :P
Why did I create it?
For fun, basically. The forum's been looking a little inactive lately and it's been a while since I've participated in good discussion here, so hopefully this would help to provoke that. Also, it'd be interesting to help find an answer to a question regarding Tanki if it's required - hopefully, I could help out in such a situation, or at least point you towards someone who knows more than I do in regards to an answer.
Don't forget to check out these similar topics:
Questions & Answers - ask any serious questions about the game here, with accurate answers often provided by Consultants (official respresentatives of the game).
What to buy? Which is better? - ask questions about what equipment to buy and/or use here.
Flae's fortune shop - ask a self-proclaimed Tanki Guru about the future... heh.
All questions are welcome!
Suggestions ?
In terms of fiction, Enid Blyton is a good place to start off from scratch, her work (whilst dated now) is fairly interesting and easy to read. Trying a more contemporary series, such as the Harry Potter, Hunger Games, or Percy Jackson series, is also a good idea. More challenging fiction series would include His Dark Materials, though I've got to admit I read it in primary school. After that... Nelson Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom? Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time? Those are some interesting books by prominent global figures, though you may find them a little more challenging than ordinary fiction. Good luck!
I'm a fan of both of these series, and it wasn't as if I couldn't remember the second one, since I did say I didn't guess just because I wasn't entirely sure :P In any case, those questions were designed to be purposely awkward (even though I've read books from both series multiple times), and you know it!
In any short story (especially for a contest), I'd say the most important parts are the intro and the ending. After all, you want to leave a lasting impression with the reader. However, the middle is vital in terms of demonstrating an overall ability to make a story flow - so don't chuck your concept out the window, just focus on improving your intro and ending and on being original where possible.
I'm pretty sure I answered a similar question before in a way which made it clear that I do not currently have a girlfriend, and I'm 15 years old.
Hey there! Well, I live in Manchester - it rains quite a lot, and there can be traffic jams in the centre of the city, but it's not a bad place overall. I agree that it's good to practice your English here :) So, have you been active in the Russian community, too?
