She went down in an airplane Fried getting suntanned Fell in a cement mixer full of quicksand She met a shark under water Fell and no one caught her, idk one of those.

Pretty good excuses.

Well, it is not an excuse, but I usually say "I am sorry, I didn't understand" when I don't understand, or "I am sorry" when I make a mistake or say something wrong (:
