modify the "/vote" command to help moderators

Recommended Posts

One of the common complaints regarding /vote is that one rarely sees a moderator respond.  This is fairly understandable given the large number of people probably using the /vote command at any one time versus the handful of moderators.  While I don't know any moderators, nor have I ever met one (they seem scarce :) ) that information in itself strikes me that there must be a mechanism to help allocate their time for the best results for the community.  To allow a better response for the community, could we modify the /vote command to allow additional arguments to be added to it?

Perhaps something along these lines:

/vote (tank_name) language

/vote (tank_name) hack

/vote (tank_name) mults

/vote (tank_name) sabotage

This would allow to the moderators to prioritize their time and which games to join.  Frankly "language" should be the least responded to.  While it is annoying and offensive to others to have to listen to cursing in chat, the documentation requirements to have someone banned for language are trivial with only a single screenshot needed.  Language would be a time available response while suspected hackers, people using mults or sabotage, which much more directly effect game play, could be prioritized.  I suspect that most hacker claims are merely people upset at others using drugs to stay alive however, there is a fair amount of mults and sabotage taking place that adversely effect game play.

Since the /vote command currently seems implemented via the battle GUI, with 25% of the players required to vote at which point the offending players name turns black and the game is highlighted, the additional arguments would need to be fed to a moderator only chat channel to allow the moderators to quickly scan and see what the problem is and which battle should be the next one observed.

Totally agree with you, as we have both just been in a stadium death match, in which it was blatantly obvious that there was at least 2/3 alt accounts this was obvious with the kill to death ratio. So yes it would be a good idea to give the vote a additional name such as hacker or mults. To help achieve a better game for the honest players who play.

vote command for language is not useful, why? because there is a section for us to report them.

the mult and sabotage are helpful because many people dont have a program to record them.

and it would be helpful if TO accepted many good people that apply for chat moderator (like me i want to apply) but my karma is ''bad'' lol
