Shade totally deserved 1st place.

2nd all they did was take out hammer from a pic and also the rankup and basically copied your original pic. Took text from cooltext -.-

Just looks bad.

3rd looks better than 2nd but not that creative but simple text and I thought you said the text was gonna be the most important element in the pic

I took like 4 hours to make mine, I made basically everything from scratch except tanks and ranks

Then I redid it to make sure it was good

 

Thought I would've gotten at least 3rd place

 

 

I can make this in half hour or less. Looks like a big mess to me. All over each other. For you it might be creative but for me and most of other judges it was not.

True true.

I actually made it like that on purpose, but ok.

I tried to make the tanks look better than just slapping them on the background, but since its just a plain black background, it was hard to blend it in more with the background and actually took me some time. If I were to compare it to the original Tankviewer tanks, it would look very different. But I understand, and 3rd place took my idea with the camera..

To be fair, none of the entries qualified for first, or even second place.

 

Shade's, though by far the best quality work submitted, was not strictly-speaking a logo, just a graphic image. Nonetheless it did meet all the requirements outlined in the contest rules, and thus had taken first place. Arguably with a couple meager modification it could be a great logo.

The other two, though debatable "rip-offs", "too simplistic" and what not, were unfortunately the best of the bunch. Most of the other entries were way too messy and disconnected, kinda like a word-search puzzle as opposed to a nicely-written sentence. Others didn't meet the requirements, like a beveled "RAS" abbreviation, as well-made as it may have been.

Therefore, like it or not, these are the winners picked by the judges, and though we look to your suggestions and feedback, we do reserve the right to divide our crystals as we see fit.

 

Needless to say, this is most likely the last of this series of contests in their current form, so keep your eyes open for the new stuff on the horizon.

WOW WOW WOW, you must be really mad, Atleast show some sportmanship in losing, people like you are the reason why communities suck, always out to +1 and make other looks bad. 

 

You spend 4 Hours on Pictures that you found on Google that are already Rendered as PNG, do you even know how to use a Lasso Tool to cut out a picture from the background, Yea i figured. 

 

It took me 1 hour to just cut out the Hammer Picture from the background using Lasso Tool

 

The Text you are talking about "cool text", has been crafted from scratch, there is no "Text" that you can just type like that, it needs lots and lots of small cut outs using Lasso Tool, and then using clouds artistic effect, and then putting broken glass rendering while blending the whole text. 

 

The Smoke effect coming out of the Hammer has been created by hand.

But there was no need for him to criticize others work, I was genuinely happy in either case if i won or didn't, but criticizing work and saying his was better is definitely a no-no in my books.
