What do you think about change of supplies system?

love the update. :P

y do all us mods/devs/newbs love this update?? i thought it was supposed to be the high rankers who would be happy because now all wont be equalized to each other with their drugs and some rails can take advantage of that.

overall im happy wid dis update but only cuz i have started to drug now

Seems like the person with the most drugs rules a battle, which are buyers... tanki gave us X5 drugs just to make us happy for a limited time, now its the person with the most health packs wins... hmm. tanki needs to fix this

If Tanki lowered the price from the health packs to 50 crystals than it wouldn 't be a real issue.

Now the health packs are too expensive, thus causing a new possible drugs separation between buyers

and non-buyers.

 

TO should fix this, if they were serious about their intentions with the Smart Cooldown...

right.. it's more than a week i have 0 first aids,the rest is a decent number,with double powers going down quickly... if they didnt value 3 times as much i'd have some first aids as well

That's quite strange, since one of the aims of that update was to make the heavy hulls less powerful in drug wars...

yeah but it seems that the opposite is happening. now mammys just turn on their DA and they are invincible

Not "we". Many other Tankers and I happen to like the Smart Cooldown.

 

Is it perfect? Nope, it isn 't. And some minor changes wouldn 't hurt:

 

Double Powers are too strong and in medium to large-sized maps, are more powerful and usefull

(afaik and experience myself) for long-rangers than short-rangers.

Being a long-ranger with Thunder and Rail I actually benefit from the DP 's: still I prefer a nerf in the

damage-percentage done.

It just feel it would be good for the overal gameplay.

(the same nerf may count for the OP effect the Double Armour now has on especially heavy hulls)

 

Health packs should be more restricted IMO or become of the same price as the other supplies.

They have sort of become the druggers replacement for the old 234 mantra: "just use them continuously, no matter the battlefund"

Having plenty of them from a very low drugging past, I also notice I use them way too many.

Which isn 't particularly good for the sort of balanced and skill-based Tanki Online, the Devs claim they want to achieve.

 

The best solution IMO, would be a doubling of the waiting time, so you can 't use those health packs

that quickly one after the other.

 

Still, the Smart Cooldown is already way, way better than the old 234-system in my view.

Drugging didn 't become less and maybe never will or even should...Tanki may be free to play, but not free to make

or maintain.

At least we are freed from the hardcore 234 druggers, noob or skilled, who ruined

too many of what could have been great battles! :)

I think supply drops should happen more frequently with the new marker update coming up, and there should be specific locations to balance each side out. That way players can get say a double power, than arm their own double armour before heading off to attack.

Definitely agree with you there. Before the update, I would activate armour with the rest of my drugs, while now I only have time for DP and nitro before I'm at the enemy base, so when someone shhots me, I'm forced to use the repair kit instead of DA, which gives about as much bonus as double armour, yet costs three times as much.

did u know that if u press health first and then double armour u will have to wait around 15 seconds to activate DA?

but activating DA and then health kits is much more efficient as there is no waiting time

The update ruined Tankionline....

 

If the point of the update was to "level the playing field", why bother with ranks, upgrade kits or supplies at all?  The goal is to outlast the other guy and destroy tanks.  Using 2 or 3 supplies at once helped make it fun in the upper ranks, especially using a smaller hull.  I've been playing for over a year and introduced some friends to the game.  My friends gave up the week the update came out, and I've decided to let it go today and find a new distraction.

 

Either the playing field is level, or you have supplies, drop boxes, different hulls, different weapons...  It is a game and usually someone has an advantage in a game, that's just how it is.  I think the update drastically changes the game, enough so that I don't play it much anymore.  

 

Prior to the update Tankionline was a great game that I spent time and energy on.  It was a fun ride, but I guess all good things..

if tanki HAD left the game alone, slowly more and more non druggers would leave the game, then leaving all the druggers by themselves. once they all play against their equals, they slowly will tire out and leave the game, leaving no plyers at all. and this is not what tanki wants

Finally, someone with some sense in their heads. I totally agree with you. Although i miss spamming 2,3,and 4, it had to go, for the sake of gameplay.

well the reason i wrote my argument was because i was a non drugger :lol: . but even though now i have a lot of drugs, i still vote against it.

plus u could see that his account was 2nd lieutenant which meant that druggers were not as popular in his rank. so he would have had a good advantage. once ur in high ranks like generalissimo, u drug to keep up with the crowd, and not to get an advantage because everybody would be drugging.

and this is the part that puzzles me: when u dont need all drugs to keep up, why do u complain?? the only reason i feel is because rail gunners can turn on DP and kill every one, but then u just have to switch on DA yourself and u'll be fine

I think it is very dumb to not be able to activate all drugs at once. Just cause one m2 m2 complains about a guy using drugs does not mean you should change the game. The game needs buyers to succeed. Play in no supply battles if you not don't like drugs.  m2 m2 tanks are easy kills for druggers, druggers=buyers.  If you ruin the fun with big buyers (not me I hardly buy) they may find games such as world of tanks funnier.

 

If you see what I am saying. Its effecting the game, it is how it was for many many years.  I think Tanki Online is making a big mistake.  Join if you agree, if not turn away.

It's more efficient in terms of time, but costs a lot more crystals, which is no bueno...

I'm on this forum hoping the developers read this:  I would pay for this game to have it like it was, but now it seems like as a player I am limited.  When I was playing in lower ranks there were tanks that used supplies continuously they didn't call it drugging - it was just a part of the game.  Now there just seems to be more people complaining about it and how it isn't fair.

 

Sounds like to me the "anti-druggers" want a free game where everybody is equal.  Yeah, I used supplies.  Yes I stockpiled them.  I normally used a wasp or a hornet hull and the supplies helped me last longer in a battle.  I also used a black paint job and worked to get behind enemy lines in team games....  Tanki gave me the crystals that purchased the supplies, so how exactly was I doing anything that was wrong or illegal in the rules of the game?  Those same supplies were available to everyone.  And the wide use the term "druggers" seems a lot like sour grapes to me.  The supplies I used never made me invincible either, like some of you make it out to be.

 

Unless you've played me in a match, you don't know about my style of play - how much I played in a week, or how much $$$ I spent on it, or even how skilled I am.  

 

I'm sure some friends can confirm too, I had a stockpile of supplies and I didn't go after the drop boxes because I didn't need them.  But restricting supply use after years of gameplay where they were freely allowed seems to be a bad business decision.  I suspect things will change back over time because I think this will snowball on the developers.

 

What will the next thing be?  Maybe make all the tanks the same speed?  Everybody gets downgraded to an M1?  No camoflauge or paint schemes?  Eliminate the railgun because it's too powerful? Limit free playtime to so many hours a day?  How balanced should the game have to be so, "the other players don't suffer"?  Suffer - really?  Suffering seems a little dramatic doesn't it?

 

Nevertheless the developers gave you some more equality, I hope you enjoy it.
