Automatic tying of accounts to kongregate

As some of you are aware this game is embedded on the gaming website Kongregate.  However it is a limited version, it automatically chooses the server you join and you can join and you have to make an account tied to your kongegrate name using the kong api.  It also has a much smaller window and does not get sales for payment methods.

 

What I am suggesting is that the version of the game embedded on kongregate allow you to tie a regular tanki account to your kong account, as well as providing kong players with a password for the main page.  Currently kong players can migrate to the main page, as I have myself, but it involves sending an email to help@tankionline.com explaining the situation and asking for a transfer.  This would automate the process, a problem which comes up repeatedly, here and here

 

At this point you may be asking yourself why regular players from the main site would ever want to play a more limited embedded version of the game in a tiny window with a side chat.  The answer is a compelling one:  Free crystals.  Kongregate uses its own virtual currency called kreds that can be used to purchase crystals.  Unlike tanki they give you the option of earning these for free through surveys.  It won't give me a direct link, but if you click on the kreds link and click on "other payment options" it will list what is available.  This provides a boon for free players in several other online games.  Then you can go back to the main page to play the full game.

 

With this simple change everyone wins.  Kong gets money from ad traffic and from kred sales from the survey company.  Tanki gets money from kong for crystal purchases using kreds.  Players get crystals without having to spend any money.  Kong players don't have to send an e-mail requesting a password to use the forums or play on the main page.

I think this is a good idea!

 

However, it might be better directed at Kongregate rather than Tanki.

Kongregate would be the ones who would give any cessations or permissions for the aforementioned change to occur.

Thanks for the thorough explanation.  I may try this to play with a new account when I get bored.
