How do you guys stay happy in Tanki?

I have been playing this game for about 2 years now. When I first started, I felt like I was having the time of my life in one game. Surprisingly, the Rebalance came out which ruined stuff for me. And after about 21 more months of playing this game, I was starting to loose interest in it. Whenever I log in server 1, I watch people chat. But they are always happy, I have never seen them sad. So tell me, what keeps you entertained in this game? I really need a suggestion because I am no longer having fun in this game.

Rebalance was really needed for the game. I mean seriously, what is the point of 30 ranks if you get each m3 at around 20 of them. It was pointless to play furthermore and ranking since you'd get your combo way earlier than expected. Hence the fun of ranking ends there, and the games starts to get boring since you have nothing to unlock, just upgrades.

 

However when rebalance was implemented, the ranks fitted the turret/hull. It was much more fun to gain a rank and unlock your combo. After a period of ranking, you would finally unlock your dream combo, and upgrade it. Playing furthermore would be fun again because of more turrets/hulls to be unlocked. Due to that, you wouldn't feel bored using the same old turret/hull and you would try a new one after a while. That feels good to be honest.

 

Players still enjoy this game because they take it as a game. Game mustn't be taken seriously, it isn't supposed to be a daily thing... 

 

I still enjoy this game. Especially because of being a very, very slow ranker, I enjoy each and every moment of being at that certain rank. :)

I get what you're saying, and I appreciate it. I am a slow ranker aswell, and I feel like going back to some of my old ranks... (I'm not bragging) but I feel like I've done and seen just about everything here... buyers, drug wars, mults, you name it...

I keep losing drug wars for some reason... I always outsmart and out skill the enemy, but they always outnumber me. Also... the mults in my team...

If you don't like drug wars just go on server 1 and there's so much XP(Railgun Hornet) without drug!

I do not actively place Tanki anymore but what used to keep me glued to my seat and laughing like a madman was when I won a hard fought victory, when a sale on something I really wanted happened or just doing something stupid. Sometimes teasing others with paints, do a ridiculous flip, or die in a funny way (Wasp FTW)

 

I too am a very slow ranker so I enjoy it when I actually do rank. And it also feels good when you know you dominated a battle with your dream/almost dream or partial combo and knowing what you have done to get it. (One reason I don't buy and never will because the feeling of having an awesome garage or tons of hard earned crystals is far greater than doing the same only with a credit card)

 

So at the end of the day it's what you have accomplished that makes you happy and what you have done to get to a particular point. And the funny spur of the moment things you have done.

 

(BTW the only reason I'm not playing Tanki is because of all the druggers and kits running around. Waiting for that to sizzle out)

Just so you know, I play in server 1 most of the time. But do know this, not everyone like to play XP 24/7.

That can be a problem, you need the rest of your team to be willing to drug as well, so its best to do it with friends.
