Deactivating smart cool-down during Gold box siren

I unfortunately can't agree. It wouldn't be fair to allow 2 - 3 - 4 to be activated at the same time just for a Gold box drop. The point of the Smart cool-downs is to enhance the complexity of the game and undoing it for a brief amount of time doesn't make sense.

It makes a whole lot of sense and fairness doesn't come into it.

Enabling them during gold box times would "enhance the complexity of the game" also.

While some players are drugging-up to catch gold, others could drug up to capture the flag.

A brief moment, once in a while, where game-changing opportunities are extended.

This means players will have to give more thought between defending, attacking or going for gold.

 

From a business perspective it makes sense too.

Players can spend 300 crystals or more trying to catch 1000.

I'm surprised tanki never thought of it.

You can deactive the supplies too. No supplies can be used when the Gold Box will be dropped. 

Yes, why not the opposite? Why not deactivate the supplies altogether and give more room to luck or skill than money?

That is correct. But on a short-term scale. In fact, there could be a lot of points or momments in tanki that the company could "charge" indirectly, promoting use of supplies... The question is, is such a policy beneficial on a long term scale?

I think not. And I think that the cool down of suppllies shows prety much what TO Devs think. And I appreciate it.

 

 

Long story short, I think no exception should be made for a gold box drop.

Why would you need all supplies just for gold? Then it makes no difference whether you have them or not; when everyone is using supplies it's equal to using none at all, besides nitros. 

If no one had anything on but Nitro, everyone would attack each other. However, if you were on full drugs, for some peculiar reason, there would be less people attacking each other. I know it's just the same both ways; with or without drugs. It just feels more intimidating when with drugs. I hope you do understand what I'm trying to say.

You do have a point, the change from not being able to use full drugs to being able to during a gold drop would be a complex situation, though the opportunity is all so current. You can take advantage of a gold box situation in CTFs currently.

Much like they do with the ballancing of weapons and hulls, I think they want to change the whole aspect of the game, and making the exception for Gold wouldn't make sense to them. Great discussion though.
