Battle Sort by Rank

Having the ability to sort battles by highest available rank would help. Currently, the system grays out battles below your rank, but if you had an option to gray out battles with higher ranks than yours by selecting the highest rank your willing to join a battle with it would help. I think this would save time choosing battles that don't have Generalissimo in them.

I believe that the the way Ranks are assigned to any game needs changing.  The wide spread of available Ranks is wrong and very unsporting. Their is a huge variation between the Topmost Rank and that allowed at the bottom.  This makes for a very predictable outcome.  

 

When setting a new game most players do not realize that the Rank Bar can be adjusted.  Low Ranks usually fined themselves at the bottom if they set up a game because they are prejudiced against by default.  The highest ranks often set the Rank bar to include low ranking players to facilitate the higher ranks with easy points and games.

 

I feel that the Rank Bar should not be adjustable.  That when setting any game the setting player should always find themselves in the middle of a shortened number of Ranks.  Perhaps a spread of 5 Ranks in total for any game.

I like Elizabeth1122's idea as well. I think it was well thought out and articulated.

 

An additional consideration if the non-adjustable Rank Bar is not acceptable would be the following. According to the Wiki Tanki site there are four rank columns. You could restrict ranks to battles within their columns, but allow those in the top one or two positions to start participating in battles within the next higher column. Or, you could restrict ranks in the lower half of their ranks to battles only within their column to prevent them from becoming easy targets. For example a private would not be able to enter battles with warrant officers.

Great idea! I hate looking through to find battles where I'm the highest rank.

 

I think there could be a special search tool? Where you can choose a map, mode, and max rank and it'll search all servers for suitable battles?

I like that idea as well kirby2008. I often want to participate in certain types of battles and end up jumping server to server to find one. a search tool that included all servers for certain parameters would be good.
