Ideas for Parkour!

can there be a way to merge parkour with fighting.??? let me give u an example:

ur tank is on a platform near a ramp. an enemy isida is coming to you with the intention of killing u. now u see another platform very close by to ur platform but u cant get there as there is just an empty space in-between. if u try on your own and get up there u will just end up going down the ramp instead. how do you get up there? well just make ur enemy ur frend. as the enemy isida comes up the ramp, u come at full speed towards him which causes you to fly straight over him and end up on the second platform.

another way of using parkour fighting is by finding stylized ways of killing 

 

The big issue regarding parkour in battles is the fact that people have differemt guns and hulls with different speeds and weights. If a new parkour battle mode is to be implemented, it will have to equalise all tanks of all players, so that everyone is equally able to do the parkour challenges on the map. Automatically giving everyone the same equipment goes against the game's principle. This is the reason hiding spots were removed from maps a few months ago - they gave an unfair advantage to players with certain equipment over other players.

 

enemies. like the ones in the video of the week in the recent blogs with the railgun

no need to create a new mode for that... just do it in your everyday battles and post them on youtube...

I have a suggestion, get two parkour teams.

Then both groups try to make a tower(like tanki tower contest)

Give both teams 2 minutes 

Have both teams in different maps

But same place so like both Stadium but different map for more of the parkour team

Have one mod in each game to spectate so the parkour team chooses 19 of their players whichever team with the most players stacked on top of each other move on the next round

Then when all teams have finished, give a crystals to 1st and 2nd 3rd

but sometimes other maps can have less ramps to climb or lower levels of platforms causing the game to be biased. i think it should be done in the same map.

What about making more of parkour contests like that "Masters of Parkour"

I think and hope to be able to make another 'conquer the building' contest in the future. Also I'm working on a parkour competition where all English team can sign up for.

 

The main idea of the competition yet:

  • We publish a video with a task for the participating teams.
  • In the weekend there will be a parkour session, where each team should show off their skills.
  • There will be a time limit and the team gets 3 chances to complete the task, depending on how many chances they need and some more stuff they will get points, at the end there will be a team with the most points: the winner

Parkour leaders and parkourists: do you have suggestions? Your opinion is appreciated!

Like it, although only the high ranks will have a chance...

So make two sessions!!! One for Brigadier-Gissmo and one for Colonel-Recruit, or something like that. Base it off of the average, because some teams like mine have mostly WOs and LTs, but we have one Lt General.

Yes, you are kinda right, but I think the low ranks can do also a lot of stuff since their stuff is less heavy and beside that I have a few more doubts:

- Will the low ranls show up?

- Will the low ranks follow the tournament rules; like leaving directly once they are done?

 

I know not every low rank is the same. I don:t say this because I'm a high rank, but because the fact I experienced this in the past.

 

So I for now I prefer to start with the high ranks only and it's just a concept yet. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the brains behind this section know about it.

 

Thanks for your suggestion by the way, if you would point out anything else make sure you do it. All opinions, suggestions and thoughts are very welcome!

also remember that number of low rankers might be very high since lots of player join in every week.. as tanki is gaining its popularity. also u will know that in games such as mine hunts, the players are divided into 3 groups...recruit-W04, W05-(i think general), (i think general)-generalissimo

so there must be at least a few players in a 3000000 player community who will join, and anybody who doesnt can be kicked

That's true, though we need chat moderation administrators then to help us with organising the parkour events, since moderators are not allowed to kick people during events.

 

Also I'm not a robot luckily enough, those parkour sessions will take time and to organise also 3 of them.. I don't think I will have the time for that. Also we should first see if the parkour clubs like it, if the administration likes it etc. etc.

 

The last thing I would point out is that most low ranks have a lack of parkour skills. They are new to the game, have just to explore everything yet etc. etc. When I was a low rank I was a parkour noob aswell, during the time I met more parkour friends we started trying out and so I improved my skills..

They can't?  :blink: What happens if a chat moderator responds to a /vote command of a saboteur? Do they have to investigate and call an admin if there is a valid reason for kicking? The chat admins would be running around all over the place! no wonder the system doesn't work at the moment...

They are allowed to kick these people, but if in an event someone isn't listening to the rules of the event he doesn't breaks the game rules (depends on what he does) he is NOT allowed to do so. That's the difference.

i think also that maybe SOME people would know parkour and because they are all bad at it then they can be compared better. isn't that good?

also maybe there should be some questionnares whether players joining know whats going on and if they have done it before so they can join. if they are lying to the administration then they will lose the game... but im also thinking... out of 3000000+ PLAYERS, how would at least 10-20 of them NOT KNOW what parkour is? definitely lots of W05s should atleast have some idea about it....

since now it is 2014 new players like me who joined in jan knew what parkour was after one month when i went to youtube to check about tank... almost half the search results came parkour...

and do not see my prof ok?

they most likely do not know but thats why the  FAQ has contest to get them in to Parkour and get them to have more skills and the understanding that most people want to battle i agree but you have to understand the FAQ can only do so much its like 1 Leader for a 50000 member Clan thats why they take a little time to get back they have people asking questions that are about homework and things like that but the real proof is more that the Staff may need more Staff but they only get people that they can trust cause they want the Best Experience for the player's .

On a high/medium height map, such as future for example, you could play parkour cat n mouse for a video of the week. What I mean is 1 player uses parkour to catch another player who drives away as fast as possible(for example, if the catcher is on the top of a building and the person whos running away is on the ground, the catcher could go up a ramp, flip and catch him/her). Both players can have wasp and a recoil weapon so they can flip. You only count someone catching someone else when they touch the other tank. This  could go into the parkour format.....

To be honest, I don't actually see the argument you are speaking of... but as you said, that's aside from the point. :)

 

To address your idea, I would imagine that idea would not be a necessary part of the game. I say this because, really if you wanted to, anyone could casually play a game of chase, and it is over once the two tanks hit each other, or come into contact. Or rather, if you don't like that, you could try using a close rang turret such as Firebird, and once, you start inflicting damage on or kill the player you are chasing, you could make that the policy. Either way, this is a tank game, not a chasing game. So unfortunately, I must be the one to inform you this idea shall not be integrated into the game. Though don't be deterred, keep on spitting out ideas! :)

Is it possible to make a tower of tanks, like as everyone else has said, but by using mines and wasp? For example, on the edge of Düsseldorf, you can easily make a small tower of 3 tanks. Then go into the centre area as a tower. Use mines and the wasp-dictator parkour method there to increase the height. However my idea has a problem: its going to be hit and miss since you don't really know where the wasp is going to land!

I would like to be able to join parkour battles without using a pro pass, and I would be doing parkour battles more. It is fun, but once your pro pass runs out, then you're screwed... :angry:

ik me too i like parkour but only high lvls have big hull that take 5 shots from railm3 and u know UGH
