Ideas for Parkour!

 Share

Recommended Posts

Now, hear me out on this one. All parkourists will know the hassle of same team parkour due to no auto aim. Even if they change teams, it is risky due to damage. So I propose this: During parkour battles, auto aim functions on the same team.

Everyone just had their minds blown right now, i know. But let me answer some questions I am sure to pop up.

Q:Won't this lead to an overload of mults?

A: This is only in parkour battles, so it won't affect ur gameplay in regular battles where u want a good k/d and a battle fund.

Q: Isn't this too big of a change for parkour battles? Isn't no battle fund or SD zones enough??

A: This isn't a big change considering the fact that it can only help. SD zone removal causes a lot of glitchy areas, but all this does is allow shooters to boost flyers easier.

This would make parkour tricks much cooler, and with MOP 2016 in full swing, I decided this would be a genre appropriate topic/idea

Unlikely to happen. This is already possible if you simply enter different teams or create a DM parkour battle, so I doubt that developers will spend time working on something that's not really a problem. Turrets auto-aiming on teammates is practically the same as the idea for disabling damage in Parkour and both of them have been suggested before.

Auto aiming on team mates will make some tricks impossible, like Thunder Jump where thunders have to shoot under the tank to make the splash hit the tank instead of the direct shot, and the Rico jump where ricos shoot a cliff under a team mate and their shots bounce up onto him and make him fly...

The problem you are talking about is lack of skill. It's not worth making some awesome tricks impossible just to make parkour easier for beginners.

Maybe someone suggested it already - But I couldn't care less

So: It is annoying for parkour clubs to repeat tricks because they get destroyed through the dumb self-destruct zone. Without this zone we could do way more awesome tricks.

This zone is senseless anyway, because it didn't reduce the amount of cheaters. If Tanki is too bad to create an effective anti-cheat system, they shouldn't even try to make one, particlarly such a bad one.

I know the only reason they wouldn't remove this self-zone is the following: "But more cheaters will come and destroy the gameplay" (cry-mode).

---> So, just make it for private battles for God's sake! Who the hell cares if someone is cheating in a private parkour battle?? It is not even a real battle anyway. Those cheaters won't get any advantage. So your "cheaters will ruin the gameplay" excuse is pure invention.

In a word: Remove it in private parkour battles but keep it in all other modes and public battles.

If tanki doesn't take this suggestion, which is smart and helpful, or you don't even show them this suggestion, I lost my hope in humanity

Developers are aware of this one. Suggested a few times already.

Let me say it like this: I doubt it, cuz it's not a big deal ;)

Give me their contacts and Ill do it myself since some people are too "busy" to discuss several important topics

Glad to hear not only my team has problems with this sky kill zone... That means others try big stuff too. I suggested it in this topic a while ago and also sent it in complaint book topic and to tanki tech support and both Cedric Debono and tanki tech support said they passed it to the developers, but nothing happened even though it was a great chance to do it in time for MOP...

I just failed a huge jump for MOP because of this dam kill zone :\

And I can remember at least 10 more cases where the sky killzone ruined my tricks in the last 2 months... It's just terrible...

1.) I couldn't agree more with this sky kill zone in private parkour matches. They really need to take this out as it will improve parkour tricks in a big way.

2.) They need to take out the 5 minute wait time on changing equipment in parkour mode. They had this same problem in a previous update and had enough complaints back then to change it so there was no time limit to change equipment in parkour mode....this needs to happen again as i think they have forgotten about the issue. as it was an issue previously.

3.) Please let there be a longer time limit for inactivity in private parkour matches. Reason in being is a lot of parkour takes people in strategic positions where they cant move, and if you don't move your tracks you get kicked for inactivity. This causes a lot of wasted time and problems in setting up for big tricks.

I wonder if we can make parkour be better. I got a couple of ideas:

1. When someone goes to the format to kill, they can auto aim their targets but it won't damage them or kill them. Or.

2. They can kill, but it won't count towards their kills in their profile or their battle score, same would be true for their deaths, it won't count towards their score or their profile. (Parkour format only)

I also got another idea for parkour format.

We could make make the hulls slightly lighter like 10% or 25% and make the turrets impact force and recoil increase by 5% or 10%. (Parkour format only)

If this idea gets rejected, then I understand :)

The no damage thing was suggested so many times, so let me say again: Some tricks require getting tanks killed, and if you can't deal damage that means jumping on infinite amount of mines which will make it not challenging to jump on any high place, even getting on a skyscraper won't be a special thing anymore.

The idea of not counting the kills and deaths as part of the score in the player profile is great, it solves the problem without changing anything but only removing something that shouldn't be taken into the score count anyway, and will prevent players from joining parkour battles to improve their score.

About increasing impact force and reducing weight - I'm against making parkour format physics any different from the normal game physics in any way, parkour is possible and you can do a lot of great things and huge jumps without a decrease in weight and increase in impact force or change in any other parameters. It is better to keep parkour challenging so you have some learning and reaching new heights along your journey of mastering parkour. Trust me, the most fun thing about parkour is discovering and improving, if I was able to do everything easily I wouldn't enjoy it as much, it was fun to me even as a newbie that way.

Also, there is a thing with weight decrease already. Before micro upgrades were changed and it was possible to upgrade every parameter separately - I had a special parkour Wasp with everything fully upgraded except for weight, so it was like an M2 Wasp with weight of M1. Now everything is upgraded together, but in parkour mode the weight gets reduced to the weight of a not upgraded version of your tank. So my fully upgraded Wasp M1 is still an M2 with weight of M1. That's one way you can get a decrease in weight.

This new mode of Parkour changes everything for "Pakour"
So let's get into it :-

Killing in Parkour mode should be removed but if you shoot  someone in the other team the impact force must be done. In this way public parkour battles won't be ruined  by players who like to kill in Parkour mode

Let's all vote for the new parkour mode!

Changes of self-destruction timer in Parkour mode

Hello!

As everyone know and noticed it, a couple of weeks ago, the readjustment in the game balance brought other features as you can see here.

From there, the self-destruction timer was reduced from 10 seconds to 5 seconds, it's okay, but from my perspective self-destruction timer have not why be in Parkour mode.

Reasons

1. First of all, the time is vital in any activity, and 5 seconds could make the difference whichever it be.

2. I know the self-destruction timer can be useful to other tankers in any mode:

- DM: The enemies would have less possibilities of be killed by the player who finished flipped down

- TDM: The another team would have less possibilities of be killed by the player who finished flipped down

- CTF: The another team could capture a flag

- CP: The another team might start controlling the point, if it was not.

3. If you have used the Parkour mode at least once in your life, you must know that, there are not neither experience points nor crystals.

So what's the sense of this timer in this mode?

Suggestions

  • I suggest that it be removed just in this mode, because for me (and I think for everyone), it's unuseful.

  • Implant an option to: Enable/Disable Self-destruction timer. (Once again, just if the player selects "Parkour" mode.

Thanks for reading. :)

Best Regards ~ Mario3108 ;)

Many players suggested this before. No need to do anything complicated though, just make instant self destruction in parkour mode.

I agree with an instant self-destruction, which would be the same like no timer -_-.

I'm sick of being killed in parkour battles. Please make them all be DM to stop this from happening.

Making all Parkour battles be DM doesn't stop anyone from killing others. Disabling damage will do that, and that has been suggested plenty of times here.

I Think It's Really Unfair For Players To Use Supplies Which Costs Crystals To Use In Parkour Mode! I Mean The Supplies Cost Money And You're Using Them For No Additional Benefit ( No Extra Exp/Cry). However, To Avoid Breaking The Game (Players Abusing This And Killing In Parkour) It Should Be Only Allowed In Private Parkour Matches To Ensure It Is Only People Trying To Parkour In Peace! :D ~ King Bob (Yamin) :D

"The New Parkour Battle Option!"

Did this ever happen to you you went to or crated a parkour battle and someone join and started killing? Don't you hate

it when people start killing in a parkour battle when you are trying to do something. Even if you make a private this might happen. Pretend you invite someone he should of been your parkour helper but starts killing if he/she doesn't he/she will be normal but then when he/she invites someone he/she might start killing and he/she will do the same if she doesn't kill and the presses will keep on going. If this didn't happen to you you are lucky.

For people who don't want to get killed the tanki online people should add a mew battle option. It should be only available if you are making a parkour battle. The new feature may/should be called "No kill." This feature makes it so you can't kill. Even though you cant kill there should be the effect and impact force. This means every thing is the same just there is no damage.

Mines should also shouldn't do damage. Mines should be the same texture and everything else should be the same only no damage. This makes it so there is only the impact force but no damage. This will make you not waste  Repair Kits and Double Armour.

I hope this Option will be made in the future. :)
