Healing box hogs

I have often seen people racing around the board picking up everything, which in an individual game is understandable and an advantageous tactic. The problem is in team games, many times team mates pick up health boxes when they are full and they have a team mate behind them almost dead who cant do anything. People are acting obliviously of their team, instead of for the greater good of the team.

 

I would like to propose that health boxes are not picked up (used) when someone who is at full health drives over them. This would therefore prevent them from hogging resources which they clearly don't need and leaving them available for someone that does.

This has been a major bone of contention for me also.  I am very glad that you have brought his up.  I often use Isida and heal many players, even when down to the last drop of life.  The players that I have healed will more often than not fight me for the Red Cross Box,  often  they get it even though they are fully charged, bearing in mind that additional supply has no effect and I am virtually dying or just waiting for that death blow from a single shot from Twins.  Often these very same players will force you off a bridge just to ensure that they can get a single blue box.  What they do not realize is that the Isisda that has previously charged them might consider whether or not to do so the next time.  Depending on the situation, they may just be left to their fate.

Yes but only for health boxes though. Because if a player picks up a Double Power lets say, and it starts to run out so he picks up another one. Technically he already has one but he replenished the length of time it was activated.

I liked the idea, but my idea is when you pick it and you have full health you should transfer that it to in your team mate. And if you touch that any box opposite team will can't see it and even they drive over it. They won't have the actions of the box.

I remember this being suggested once already.  The only real argument against it is that you would have no means of blocking an enemy from taking a health box without taking damage.  Might change the tactics for defending certain areas in certain maps.  Still wouldn't solve things when a low health isida that only has the energy to heal a teamate to 99%.  None the less seems like a beneficial change.

idk, if someone wrote same as me, but picking hp box is useful when an opponent  with low hp is near, and he would pick it up, so you just steal it from him, and can win that small duel

you can just go to heal box and block his way to it

Thanks for all the feedback, as someone else pointed out....I am currently playing Isida too, and most team mates have no appreciation that you often give up your own life to help given them just one more shot.

 

Even though this was my initial suggestion, someone else suggested this apply to all other power ups...to this I fundamentally agree. In fact, I would probably take it a step further...I know that no one else would agree which is why I didn't initially suggest it. I think hogs should actually be punished, not just the inability to pick it up. If you have a power already active and in affect from a previously picked up box, it should actually de-active the ability altogether...just gone. If you want to drive around and pick up a stream of boxes, you should have to wait until the power has fully expired before picking up another.

I think this is completely fair...the jerk in me wants to say they should actually get a reduction in that same ability instead of a straight deactivation. Actually make a true penalty for being a pig. But I know this would not go over with the community. Just throwing my true thoughts out there.
