Hey guys!]

I have been having problems lately with eccesive adware on my laptop computer. I know that I am getting it from Tanki, because it is pretty much the only website i get on.

Any suggestions on how to prevent this, it is causing lag, and when I do go on another webpage it is impossibe to do anything for this adware!

Please help me with this, I am going to have to leave tanki if this adware does not go away.

Your problem will likely be solved when you run these tools:

- ADWcleaner download it via google ( Bleepingcomputer )

- Combofix download it via google ( Bleepingcomputer )

Combofix is only for xp/vista/windows 7 and not for windows 8

Adwcleaner is a cleaner that cleans all your toolbars/extensions adware/malware that makes your computer slow you should really try it.

It's not from Tanki.

Look in your browser add-ons. Disable and remove anything that you don't recognize. If that doesn't solve your problem:

Run a scan with your antivirus program. Remove everything that is detected. If that doesn't solve your problem:

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (you can get it at malwarebytes.org) and run a scan with it. Remove everything that is detected.

If your problem still isn't solved, go to a computer forum like bleepingcomputer.com or malwarebytes.org's forums to ask for professional help.

Please note, that ad-blockers may take away the ads on your browser, but in most cases; adware is installed on your pc aswell.

You may find the installed adware on your programs list and delete it from there.

There are those sneaky files that can't be found with virus (or malware) scanners though. They are hidden in your Program files or (x86) that you need to find and delete manually.

Fortunately, you can use the search feature from your documents folder (in the upper right) and type keywords to find a program.

If you know roughly what has been installed ofcourse...

Next time try posting in the problems and solution forum.  Aside from reassuring you it isn't from tanki, that you should run a scan with one of the cleaner programs linked, and that dedicated av software is useless my only suggestion is to paste this list into your hosts file to keep this from happening next time:  http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt
