Command list for console/chat

Hello-

Is there a list of commands which anyone can use with chat interface?

For example, in other multiplayer games, it is easy to change your nickname (callsign) by using a simple command such as /nick in the chat console.

Are such commands available in Tanki online?

Thank you.

There is no console in the game. The only commands available to players are chat blacklist commands that you can find in the FAQ. Since this game is based on an idea of accounts with histories, changing the callsign would be extremely confusing and quite frankly unnecessary.

Thanks for the response, and the opinion, Mr. kolhoz.

As far as being unnecessary, I disagree. Arguing that a novelty (such as changing call signs mid-match) in a game that is appealing because the whole experience is novel is a little like arguing that dessert doesn't need to be sweet. :)

I don't think a change of the account name needs to be allowed to allow switching nicknames in game play.

I've used nicknames as part of a successful strategy in online gaming before --- it can confuse the opposing team or even just bring an element of "head games" to the battle field.

The primary reason for the wish to change nicks in the game or in matches is to run from one's reputation. As in life, one builds a reputation. It's far more worthwhile for fellow Tankers to be able to discern the character of players who've assured their reputations are predicated upon rules violating, treason, cheating, multing and various other sins of the game then for the deviants to enjoy enhanced evasion capabilities. Why do you think many of the alleged 9+ million Tankers make a dozen or more accounts? They do it to run from their reputations or babble on one account when they've been banned on their main account again!

Tanki's excessively merciful ban system enables far too many wankers to last in the game too along as is. Nick manipulation would merely further that annoyance. Thank heaven for the block command so, at least, one needn't "see" many of these.

Best regards.
