Top Team-member Bonus

I think a bonus for high-level team play would be motivational. I suggest a small experience and crystal bonus every tenth battle if you have averaged first or second in your team play for those previous ten battles. That is, if you finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, with more 1st place finishes than 3rd place finishes, then you should be awarded the bonus, something like a rank-up award. At the end of ten battles where you averaged 2nd or better, you would get the glow and award of, perhaps, 100 experience points, and perhaps, 250 crystals. Not much, but enough to make it worthwhile to participate in full battles and to play well as a team member, not just hunting boxes, or mostly hiding, waiting for easy kills.

 

Assuming it can be tracked, I wouldn't count battles were the average number of players per team was not at least seven. That is, if the battle was limited to only six per team, it wouldn't be counted as one of the ten battles. It would be skipped. Thus, ten battles with at least seven players per team for calculating the bonus award. 

The bonus would be for team work, so it should exclude death matches. I propose the same thing for death matches, but separately. Give a king-of-the-mountain award for finishing with at least a second-place average with 12 or more players in the battle (average).

 

I would like a bigger reward, but then it would need to be harder to get. Some criteria that shows you were not only scoring well, but actually contributing to your team. I'm not sure how Tanki could quantify and track that. (The king-of-the-hill award should not be large even if a significant criteria could be quantified, since the winner of a DM already gets the most crystals and experience.)

 

Still, what I suggest above would be an incentive for skilled, focused play, with an emphasis on teamwork. It would reward demonstrated expertise and effective strategy with a little extra experience and a little extra crystals. 

 

It would also be good bragging rights. For instance, "In my last 100 battles, I've received the skilled-teamwork bonus eight times."

maybe making the bonus grow along with your rank,( like the daily bonus does ) would work.
