I could testify a similar occasion, which I happened to notise clearly. A railgun oneshoted me in Serpuhov. Facts:

1. I had Hornet M3, that has 166,3 hp protection.

2. I had Tundra, with 32% protection from railgun.

3. The killing railgun didn't have double power, I was stalking it while it shot me.

SO, even if it was a M3 fully MUed, its maximum power would be 164,85 (or 199 if fully MUed), with my tundra protection it should hit me with 112 (or 135,3 if MUed) which is less than my 166,3 hp.

I was in full health when it hit me.

Any suggestions?

Well, I can't tell anything about a possible hack or a bug, but I can tell you that all the other possibilities you mentioned are not valid. I was right after respawn (so in full healt), wearing Tundra (I do remember clearly) and covered by the left front buildind or Serpuhov's blue team... The rail was coming down the main ramp of red team, I was waiting to fully charge to hit him but he shot first. No one else was in sight and I know Serpuhov well enough to tell that for a fact.

(neither was anyone behind me, there where other teammates around)

I stopped reading here. Do you have any idea how common prodigis are nowadays? Rail is a pointless weapon now, because the devs thought it would be a good idea to put prodigi in every kit... For me, it feels like every kit buyer is running around with permanent double armor.

yeah,and as soon as they switch paints,you can kill them in 2 shots (or even 1) i have about 2-3 30% paints,the one i use 99% of the time is digital.

I do agree with you, the railgun is pretty powerful, but the reload time, in my opinion, makes up for it. Also, if you were to do a close-range contest of railgun vs any of the medium to rapid fire guns, most likely, the medium to rapid fire gun would win. You would both start shooting at the same time. The railgun would shoot whilst the other gun is shooting. As the railgun is reloading, the other gun is still shooting at you; you're losing health while reloading your gun. The other gun would probably kill you before you could shoot a second time (at least from my experiences). I do understand where you're coming from with this (these kinds of things happen to me all the time), but it's not always unreasonable. And what kind of multiplayer shooter game doesn't have an over-powered weapon in it anyway?

rail is just right :s i use it for xp and even for reg battles with wasp but when i face another rail he just flips me ;-; but that's the point of the game :P be killed or be the killer

rail needs allot of practice for you to master it 

and if you cant face a railgun at close range then you must suck (im sorry) (no offence) but if you use thunder (since you have "full health" you why can you spare some health at close range to knock off his aim) you can easly knock off his aim along with (hammer,rico,twins,even shaft,smokey,even another rail if you know how to flip people)

As an M3 Railgun user myself, I find that it is very fun to play with and it is NOT overpowered. I upgraded the damage twice and I still can't one-shot M2 Hornet users without ANY Railgun protections. Most times I play with M3 Railgun and M3 Hornet and I miss only because Twins, Ricochet, and Smoky users knock off my aim (or completely oblivious teammates that ram into me as I'm charging up a shot -_-) Plus, in XP format, M2 Hornets get 20% Railgun protection so they can't get one-shot. Many times I witness MY SHOT clearly knocking off my opponent's aim a half-second before they shoot, yet they STILL hit me (keep in mind that I have M3 Railgun with awesome knockback to flip M2 Hornets). And some guy with M1, EM ONE, shoots me from the FRONT and I miss -_- So Railgun is fine as it is. -EDIT- There is also the charge-up time that accounts for the high damage. I'm being attacked by, let's say, a freeze. I shoot him once, but he doesn't die. He continues to shoot me, and I'm taking damage, and I manage to reload in time and press space to fire, but I need to charge up and he kills me right before I shoot. :(

 

If one turret were to be nerfed or re-balanced, I would say Ricochet. Many times I play with Ricochet users, 75% of their plasma balls DO NOT touch my tank yet I still take damage. I don't know if it's lag, because my ping is at a steady 80-90. I don't know if this is actually a feature of Ricochet, because I think not. When I use Ricochet, when my plasma balls don't hit them, they don't take damage. But the other way around their plasma balls are nowhere NEAR me yet i still take tons of damage. Plus the damage is OP. If I have my M3 Hornet with no ricochet protection, an M2 Ricochet drugged with Double Damage only takes 3-4 plasma balls to kill me. THREE TO FOUR. Also to mention, The knockback is INCREDIBLE even at max range. It's absolutely absurd.

The shot is effected by gravity, so before it goes past 10, the shot will hit the ground. Besides, no way in a match of dusseldorf (only match capable of holding 40 people) people with low hp will line up for nothing.

No shot gets affected by gravity...Man seriously where did you get that? I have my railgun penetraton to 100% so it can 1shot an unlimited amount of wasps(full health,any modification) alined next to eachother,that's what I did on my rank up,killed 15 wasps(couldn't find more peeps xD) in a single shot. :P

 

Seriously don't say stuff you're not sure about! I read the all 5 pages,but what people have been saying really dissapoints me. I want to cry in a corner right now...   -_-  :unsure:

never had problems with rails, i have seen multiple players  countering rail shots with no problems with protections, cooperations with isida or their own masterful skills they achieved through gameplay

its done all the time ,and i have 50%for rail and m4 viking one shot from rail gone !!!!
