[Issue 29] Micro-Upgrades

Good article, one more tip, do a MU before you go to bed, that way the MU timer will or almost be finished when you wake-up that morning or when ever.

:) My article tried to do exactly that, help you decide what to MU. I can't really make a statement for everyone saying exactly what to MU, since this depends on individual finances. Otherwise, I would recommend buying everything!

What AZ is saying, I believe, is how he is buying those MUs, with the aim of an M4 in mind. He has the crystals for M4, he is just deciding how best to go about MUing that.

I think you can do this simply by comparing the cost of the MU compared to its speed-up cost. If the MU is less expensive than the speed-up, then it's cheaper to upgrade them normally than on a 50% sale for example. Of course, this is highly unpredictable, the MU sales vary greatly.

If you want information on what to MU, as I have said that's very difficult for me to write about, since it changes from person to person. But I think, if you are limited in your budget, from the article, the first levels are always the most cost-effective. And pick the appropriate parameters too. For example, for a turret damage is probably more important than turning speed.

Hope this helps!

AT m4 the MU get more expensive then speed up

It depends on the team in parameter. But generally, as you MU, the cost of the MU will increase beyond that of the speed up. That is why you save more by just upgrading the first ones step by step as opposed to buying them all on a 50%.

Nice... I read the whole article which I don't usually do  :P

I have a shaft m1 which is upgraded 3 notches i guess but it is still really good...

I bought so many paints and MUed them... that was a huge mistake

Now, I have become more money-efficient

Saving up for Isida and Freeze m2s... the first in my garage...

I haven't really paid attention to MUs; the most MU's I have is 10/25 on M1 Wasp's HP. I have M2 and I haven't even placed a single MU on it. Much rather have more turrets and hulls then Mu's

Here is a little Christmas tip for you.

eg, you want to upgrade your m3 wasp's top-speed parameter to the max, all 25 steps.

After completing step 23, proceed and upgrade step 24 without the speedup. The speedup costs 2,569 crystals in the 80% off sale. The time delay for this step is 25hours and 41mins. But did you know that for every hour you refrain from clicking that speedup button, you are saving yourself 100 crystals per hour. Leave it 10 hours and there is a gold box on a normal day!

After a while you will want to hit that speedup button and proceed to upgrade step 25 too. If you can be patient and not hit that speedup button for that last step, you can save yourself a further 2,633 crystals.

Best for 2015,

AZ

I MUed my shaft m3 14/25 damage and can kill hornets and wasps, m2 medium hulls in 1 shot, but can't kill m3 mediums in 1 shot.

Wow that means damage of 243. But u can't kill my hornet M3+ with prodigi on :p

Shaft can greatly damage a hornet. It'd be pointless to object. Except for the versions, that is.

When did I object? I know this can deal the most damage than any other turret in one shot. What I said was he can't kill my hornet in one shot >_> . Infact soon M4's won't be able to do so :p .

they added the recent Instant upgrade. sometimes in higher steps the cost of the instant upgrade is cheaper than the actual upgrade, in which case it would be bad to upgrade on a speed up sale (if the upgrades themselves aren't discounted) because the instant upgrade would turn into the cost of the normal upgrade meaning cost will go up. (on the runet prize sale they had something like that) but the instant upgrade becoming significantly cheaper than the normal upgrade doesn't usually occur until muing m2-m3 or m3-m4

There is no instant upgrade special option. You can upgrade instantly in-game, and the price is simply the cost of the MU + that of the speedup. There is no cost difference.
